I wouldn't mind Hollywood but a part of me still wants that unreleased album compilation

I feel that it's a good sign that one of her managers confirms new music is coming x
 

A wordy and angry album with the aesthetic of the W magazine shoot would be right up my alley tbh 

Even if it's still untitled she's refering to it as an album already instead of talking about "a collection of songs she has so far" so it's probably coming this year right? Maybe not in the summer but I can see it coming in the fall

Lana Del Rey has revealed to W Magazine that a new, still untitled album is in the works.
"I’ve been practicing meditative automatic singing, where I don’t filter anything. I’ll just sing whatever comes to mind into my Voice Notes app. It’s not perfect, obviously. There are pauses, and I stumble. But I’ve been sending those really raw-sounding files to a composer, Drew Erickson, and he’ll add an orchestra beneath the words, matching each syllable with music and adding reverb to my voice. For this new music, it’s more just like: I’m angry. The songs are very conversational. For the first song, I pressed record and sang, “When I look back, tracing fingertips over plastic bags, I think I wish I could extrapolate some small intention or maybe get your attention for a minute or two.” It’s a very wordy album."

- Lana will make an announcement about the album on December 7th, as stated in an Interview on November 30th, 2022
- Lana is working on an untitled album with a completed opening track, confirmed in her interview with W Magazine in May 2022
- Lana is collaborating with composer Drew Erickson, confirmed in her interview with W Magazine in May 2022
 
 
Speculations
- Neil Krug & Anna Cofone may have involvement with the album photoshoot, as hinted in various Instagram posts, stories, and comments made by the three in December 2022
- Jack Antonoff worked with Lana on a song completed in April 2022 that could be on her record, as stated in his interview with The New Yorker in May 2022
- There is a possible collaboration with Jon Batiste, as Lana shared a video in a studio with him as a song snippet played on @honeymoon in August 2022
- Ian Kirkpatrick may be involved with the production, speculated after Lana shared a picture of a video call with him on her IG stories in September 2022 
- Her father may be involved with the record as he shared photos in Jack Antonoff's studio in March 2022
- The record may be a digital-only release, per her statement during an Instagram Livestream in October 2021
- Lana wore a custom-made jacket by the director of LDR Village with a patch that said "DNC" that may pertain to the record in December 2021

I’m honestly shocked she hasn’t given any details away other than she has a few songs she loves and she thinks it’s better than BB

Okay here’s what I would like for LDR9:
- a new sound, or revisiting Ultraviolence sound. i would like it to be completely different from the last two records
- inclusion of Say Yes To Heaven. it’s not my favourite unreleased, but i’ve grown to love it, and i think if this album is an UV 2.0 (i have no reason to believe this, i just want to see her return to that) it would fit super well. i’d like her to use either tlsp version or v5. she’s considered releasing it so many times i’d rather her just do it now
- if she is to include unreleased, i’d like ‘Your Girl’, ‘I Talk To Jesus’ and ‘Fine China’ included (if she goes the rock sound) and i would like FC to be reworked but i don’t mind if the first two stay the same
- if she is working with Emile and Mike, i’d like her to create some trip hop masterpieces and have a moody, sexy album that sees her writing style return to a Uv-Honeymoon kinda phase (songs like West Coast, Florida Kilos, Religion, Freak)
- if she is working with Jack, i’d like a St. Vincent daddy’s home kinda sound, leaning into more psychedelic rock influences 
- a proper roll out with professional artworks and music videos
 
 
all i know is i want her to go in a new direction because even though her past three albums have been some of her best work, i miss when every era lana brought something new to the table. but i’m just speculating, i’ll eat up whatever she puts out and i love her a lot so don’t take this seriously or me wanting the old lana back or whatever. i respect any path she chooses

I saw people on Twitter saying DNC stands for Diamonds And Curls in homage to Marilyn. I think it's a reach but she teased Venice Bitch in the MAC single cover so...

If she did remove the guitars on NOTG and LL then both songs are reworked. On the other hand I think these credits are incomplete. For example, Sweet Carolina mentions Drew Erickson but not Rob who 100% plays the piano.
 
Anyway, Violets for Roses having violins and violoncello is EVERYTHING. And If You Lie Down With Me with all the trumpets and tubas. And Miss Black Bathing Suit with guitars and drums.
