I want more meaning like how NFR had. the idea that happiness is a butterfly and each time she tries to catch it, it flies away. that song is actually so tragically sad, but cute and has a lot of... meaning behind it.

imagine if COCC is commentary on the picturesque America vision she pushed during the BTD / PD era...

if it's 'cutesy' politics like the national anthem MV, the aesthetic more than her delving into actual politics because we all know how that would turn out... then that actually sounds good

I think in July we'll see some promotion for the album by Lana. It's still quite early and for such a lowkey album rollout that it seems to be following, July would be the perfect time to start doing what she does best (teasing snippets, being annoyingly vague, giving incorrect single dates). And then by August, with just a month to go she'll probably drop the more important album related stuff like the tracklist, pre order and the cover.
 
Wasn't this how the rollout went as we drew closer to the NFR release date, obviously disregarding all of the other mess prior, when it came June and after she announced it was coming in two months, she actually did stick to a genuine and nicely structured rollout. So i'm expecting the same thing this time in the two months prior to September. And she has actually announced a real date so. We shall see. If nothing happens in July, then i'll be 100% sure the album isn't coming in September.

Drop the album cover Lana, just do it, don't wait 

For me, I'd rather not listen to a shitty recording of an album on tape for the first time. I wanna hear it and be surprised by lyrics or instrumentals and analyze the entire record as a whole project. Singles really have no purpose anymore, especially for artists like Lana who's not a single/radio artist, she's an album artist. You can't tell me the NFR single rollout wasn't weird. Let's drop 2 random tracks almost a year before the album, then a random piano ballad in January, then a random cover, and then a few weeks ahead, let's do another double release??? What sense does that make, just put the damn album out if you're going to release almost half of it before it's out. 6/14 is *almost* half. I hate that. Lana has fans, she doesn't appeal to most people with just a single. Someone might listen and like it, but it's not going to be your average "Oh, play that new Lana track, I wanna pop my pussy to her" party track. Most who know Lana know it's never going to be like that with her, it's going to be chill, weird music which is what's so unique about her. Other artists need those singles bc otherwise, nobody knows who they are. In the pop world, singles are very important to new artists or artists who haven't released anything in a while. Lana, on the other hand, just released an album a year before this new one. There's really no need to prelude it with singles right now. 
 
Also, as an audiophile, low quality shit ruins the surprise and the surprises of different instruments or even synth or tron. I'd much rather be able to pick everything out with the first listen and take it all in in the best quality bc well... i'm selfish and my headphones work best with good quality shit

I really hope we get big hair, long acrylics, huge eyelashes, blue eyeshadow, campy cover. If David LaChappelle shot it it'd be a dream- but I think that's me setting my expectations way too high. 
As for the music I really want a rock record.

This is disgusting. He died because someone called the cops on him for allegedly having a fake $20 bill- that's not something to die over, or even something to call the cops over. He was targeted because he was black, his past is irrelevant. I would've given you the benefit of the doubt seeing as you're not from the USA, but that's really not an excuse especially when the exact same thing happens in Brazil too. Police are responsible for 1/3 of violent deaths in Rio de janeiro. 2 weeks ago they shot a 14 year old boy, João pedro, inside his own home. I hope you educate yourself on institutional racism and stop posting dumb BS like this.

He didn't deserve to be essentially, executed in a fucking street that way. He should not have died at all regardless of what he did. If George was white he would've been alive. Police brutality towards POC is real, it's been happening for fucking decades and everyone from all races should speak up about it. Jesus Christ get some help.

i can see why she would be timid but i more lean towards the idea that she should have posted. but i think a lot of us should keep in mind that she’s not a disgusting human for not saying anything because of what happened last week. you were all dying for her to shut up and now look where we. i would like her to use her platform better but we can’t force her to literally days after her being cancelled for her being racist and this and that. i’m sure she has feelings she’s scared to put out bc she will be attack for it. that is a fact.

idk but her typewriter poems always look so sloppy and read clunky to me. her vocal cadence carries the work so much further than just written word alone
