Leaks aside, title track is just so... incredible. Like it feels like a LDR classic already. Timeless, rich, nostalgic, powerful... whew!

it’s not tiktok’s fault.
in the past people would say that the issue is on the radios too bc it shaped and shifted music– and television too.
the issue is the whole music industry and commodification of art like it’s just an object to be consumed (like you do with clothes, make-up, food etc)
tiktok just shows us that, but it’s not “their” fault– it’s just an app that works in the same way that the music *industry* (which is a really important word in here) works.

What has happened in the last 24 hours? Seriously. The album partly leaking, Lana getting her flowers but then YouTube fucking up the audio and video sending us all into a frenzy, Jared finally seeing the light, and lilac heaven leaving? 
 
March Madness has begun. 22 days! 

Personally, TikTok is a disease to the music industry. It's requiring songs to fit into a certain box or format in order to go viral so people can make more money. It's capitalism. People are literally making music now specifically so it can be used on TikTok instead of making music because it's good. Lana's music doesn't and never has fit into that box nor does she care to conform to it because she makes true art. 

on one side there’s a lot to be said obviously but on another there’s not a lot to be said when the music says it all. like just stop and listen. one of if not THEEEe greatest songwriters of this generation. it’s been knew, but this has just further cemented n solidified it., it’s so kind & brave of her to let us (& the whole world for the matter) in on these beautiful, bittersweet life stories. there’s a lot to take and learn from it all - a very wise woman indeed. I’m just grateful really, we are beyond lucky.

i’m not leak-shaming and y’all know i’m not the type to judge people () but i really can’t believe so many of y’all are listening to low quality leaks full of gay tags… i fully get listening to the 3 HQ ones and throwing in a snippet or two but so many of y’all jumping to listen to unlistenable leaks, and in FULL too ??  couldn’t be me lmao 
 
 
that being said the reviews and fan acclaim over a quarter of the album… yeah we’ll all be dead once Taco Truck, Fishtail, Kintsugi, Candy Necklace and Let The Grammy In leak  her best album coming after all

haha actually I think that that speech did subtly and indirectly explain her intention behind QFTC... unfortunate she didn't articulate herself well before but I thought her speech tonight was so important and eloquent. 

I think she actually explained QTFC in a better way during that speech… like maybe she reflected a bit on how that post sounded and kind of flipped it to be more positive😭
