I think they're cute, she looks happy and I hope she will stay happy. My personal feelings about public displays like this are a whole different story lol. But I can't imagine he didn't ask her permission before posting this. So I guess it's fine! 

By the way, one of Marilyn Manson's victims is sharing receipts of Manson's texts. There's a few of Manson body shaming Lana. The victim is posting all these receipts on her page. really hate back then people saw Lana as “complex”. She really wasn’t, she just romanticized Lolita and being a tragic figure. and of course someone would say “I’m not a feminist but I’m (insert word that means basically the same as feminist)” the year this came out lol

I think the reason I find it really difficult to love NFR is because it feels disingenuous.
 
There are songs on her other albums that are not 100% based in reality due to the persona that she claims she never had. However, she touted NFR as being "day in the life" and I don't feel that the dichotomy is due to persona, but rather ... disingenuity.
 
Take Bartender, for example. It's about hiding her relationship from the paparazzi and trying not to relapse into alcoholism, yet she's plastering her latest boyfriend all over insta and it appears, due to several accounts, that she's drinking again. Both of those things are her prerogative, but in the context of NFR's music supposedly being "honest" and "day in the life", I find it a bit
 
Then there's the matter of NFR, the song. I mean ... if any of her boyfriends are Norman Rockwells, it's clearly him ... life imitating art?
 
I realise that all of these songs were written as early as 2017, and that things have likely changed, but most of these things I'm talking about are 360s and it makes me wonder if they were ever based on reality in the first place.
 
Then there's Fuck it I love you which, supposedly, isn't about her, but it clearly is. Like, one of the few songs on the album that actually seems really honest and sounds like it's definitely about her isn't about her. K Lanz.
 
She namedrops/shades Kanye in The Greatest but she's honestly not looking a lot better than he is, nowadays.
 
I guess what I'm trying to say is that, four months on from release, the person who made this album is already unrecognisable from the person she is now, and I find that jarring.

After writing a little essay about West Coast in the the "Ultimate, Decade-End Lana Del Rey Ranking" thread, I went back to listen to Ultraviolence from start to finish. Honestly this album is just amazing. The production is so rich, detailed and layered. I understand that the raw/rough, live band type of sound was not, and is not for everyone. But to me, it's such an experience and every time I'm listening to it I feel like I can get lost in its sound and just analyze how detailed and impressive it really is. West Coast truly is Lana's most amazing song in that regard, it's a sonic experience from start to finish. 
 
Now here's unto the unpopular part. I feel like Lana post Honeymoon has gotten somewhat sloppy and disinterested with the production of her records. On Lust for Life there were gems, but it was pretty uneven; the the worst cohabited with the best and it was overall a little too tainted with cheap trap beats. On NFR, though it's nothing like LFL, it feels like the entire record was meant to sound flat and tedious. There are definitely instrumentation highlights on the record (Venice Bitch), but the rest of the album, in that regard, is almost completely forgettable and it just sucks. The few songs that I like on the record are already losing their luster and it's not even been six months since the album's release.
 
It sucks that I feel this way about her album, but I haven't been "transported" or impressed from start to finish by her albums after Honeymoon.

Part of me definitely thinks so. In fact, the first time I noticed she did so, she said something along the lines of "actually, fuck that" and I thought she was saying "fuck the note" lmao

This might be very random but I hate the way she crunches her lips when she smiles lately. It just makes them look botched and deflated. It ain’t cute.
