Goddamn I don’t like Taylor’s music but get a grip @Crazy Husband Stealer

As someone who is both a fan of Taylor and Lana, I hated the fact that lots of Lana stans automatically blamed Taylor for the fact that Lana didn’t have a main part. I’m sure you can find posts somewhere on LB about me saying Lana probably chose to not sing and that was the case ! I’m so excited that the misunderstanding got cleared up and we’ll have another version with more of Lana <3

There is nothing sacrilegious in saying that something is a cashgrab in this industry, she's one of many artists that has cashgrabbing ways, as long as you acknowledge it for what it is

No disrespect to Taylor, I think she works hard and has an impressively large discography, but I can't deny that a lot of what she does (especially the whole Taylor's version thing) is giving cashgrab. But good for her stans if they feel fed.
 
 

i agree lol, i guess i have complicated feelings on taylor bc i love her and a lot of the hate is undeserved , but the constant remixes and the way midnights vinyls were handled really annoyed me... 

one of the reasons i like taylor is her constant success, it's cool when someone u like is constantly breaking records, and imo i would rather an artist be open about that rather than act like they don''t care 
 
however, i think she collabed with lana bc she really likes her and this was extremely fan demanded, she's not putting it out as a single, it's not meant top the charts (karma is though lol)

yeah, no i'm not disagreeing with you at all. i bet taylor told jack she wanted lana on it and lana thought it was only meant to be a simple thing, so jack produced it, then showed it to taylor and she sent it in thinking that's all lana wanted to add to it lol it was probably a weird situation and taylor liked it as is and didn't wanna push lana but here we are, we're getting snow on the beach (lana's version) so let's just be glad we're getting it lol

i've always found it quite cool that taylor involves fans in album releases/listens to their feedback or what they'd like to hear.. i'm not that big of a fan of taylor but i'm excited to hear the new version, i'm sure lana will sound stunning as always!

At the end of the day it was Lana who decided to just sing the backing vocals, on the other hand we will now have two versions to enjoy and one of them re-recorded and with more Lana Del Rey

Anyway, Lana was the one who made the song sound like this, I say it because here there are people who make Taylor look like the bad guy. I think Lana at one point said that if she knew she was the only collaboration she would have sung the entire second verse, so you are right it must have been a communication problem between them.
