I revisited a couple of NFR radio interviews and I love that David Kahne really wanted Lana to do Doin Time because he knew she loved Sublime 10 years back
The way she reacted to that news having him produced AKA made me dream of a Lana album produced by Kahne... What a full circle moment it would've been after all these years

If any of you meet her around LA can you please ask her about the album instead of just taking a selfie. Like in a respectful way,  ‘thanks for the selfie Lana I’m looking forward to Rock Candy...it’s still coming June 1st right?’  I know the excitement can make your mind go blank but she is known for spilling details when asked directly...the book signing for example.

girlies lets stay hopeful, she didnt had a heartbreak recently - clay is a good guy for her as it seems. when she was doing nfr, she broke up with this guy that she sings about in title track, i dont remember his name when she was doing chemtrails, she broke up with police officer. and now, when shes doing/done rcs - she is in a fine place when it comes to love. so..........are we really on a good way to not hearing any sad ballads about love?

April 5th is going to be our new August 5th 

its april next week, do we think that april is THE month?

The thing about this record is that it screams “URGENCY” - I can sense that she’s somewhat dying to get this record out, as you would think an artist like Lana who really appreciates albums as bodies of work values the importance of having space between them to breathe once they’re in the world (even if she’s already fully moved on to her next project). So it’s intriguing that she wants this album to be out as soon as possible, especially since she said she’s going to be addressing the way the media has treated her in it. 
 
I think this record is going to be just as vulnerable as Chemtrails, but will take on a bit of a wry-ness with its narrative, which I imagine will translate into its sound. Chemtrails lamented wistfully on the fragility and fleetingness of life and thus, had this very delicate sound to it; I think Rock Candy Sweet will do the exact same thing but in a slightly more jaded, perhaps ruminative and brooding way - which to me, signals a sharp turn away from Chemtrails’s sound. 
 
If this album is to come in June, it would make the most sense for it to accomplish the same thing/build upon what she explored in Chemtrails in the most stark, opposite way. That is what her urgency for it to be out seems to indicate. Excited!

Based on a date and an album name only. That is scary how much power she has over us.

Wouldn't it be iconic if she named one of the songs Nemesis, after the goddess of retribution???

Also let RCS be her most sonically risky endeavour yet. How about some psychedelic-country-glam rock-disco-metal
