You in the soft light
the 405 from Venice
a river of red
 
Even though it’s after 8 o’clock the traffic makes it one hour from Venice to Encino. 
Our car is higher than most on the road and as far as I can see forwards and backwards- a river of red tail lights. 
But you look so beautiful in red. Like a movie I don’t want to see end~
I never understood people who didn’t think traffic was romantic. There’s so much beauty in having to wait

I completely agree!! She’s ALWAYS been the target of media attacks. Even NFR and onwards, she was getting praised but every article STILL talks down her past work as being ‘fake’ and her ‘persona’

I hope it’s RCS 
 
I hope she sings about wearing no clothes, being sexy, fucking, AND cheating 
 
i hope she cusses out major publications and Alt singers and female writers 
 
I hope the cover is her wearing a mesh mask

there’s always been unreleased songs on Shazam, unfortunately. I remember when “Yes To Heaven” showed up and everyone was convinced it was going to be on COTCC.
 
 Unless something shows up on Shazam with “Blue Banisters” as the album, its most likely a red herring

My theory at this point is that i'm CONVINCED lana's team is using fake stan accounts to spread conflicting and false information to CONFUSE US.

Maybe this is Lana's horror album, as a metaphor for the way she's felt throughout the past decade from the media's treatment of her. Mike Dean's solo albums have a lot of 80s horror synth vibes, and she captioned that Bodega Bae picture "waiting for the birds to attack." It would be something unexpected and new for her. She starts with Blue Banisters which sounds like a classic emotional Lana song before everything falls apart as her banisters remain unpainted, another blow in a long string of false hope that she's experienced navigating the industry. 

The fact is Lana is one of the most creative and prolific artists ever and she's made the deliberate choice not to play the game the way she's "supposed" to and we should all accept that and be happy that she's found a way to navigate the industry in her own way. She's obviously not a mean spirited person and I don't think she posts fake dates to purposely upset us. She gets excited about things and announces them too early, and then either red tape or her own indecision or both lead to delays. It's not the end of the world at all and I really don't know why after a whole decade people are still expecting anything different from her. Accept her for who she is and enjoy the brilliant art as it comes.
 
The best ones lost their minds, so I'm not gonna change, I'll stay the same. 

I actually think Chemtrails over the Country Club is an amazing title, and the album very much has a central theme throughout. It's about her growing resentment of fame and her desire to return to a simpler life. The title represents that unsettling unease that hangs over her everyday life and I think this theme is present on the majority of the tracks, sometimes explicitly and sometimes subtly.

she's an artist of a dying artistic "breed" feel so fortunate to be enjoying her artistry in real time

My guess: Aphrodite saw the 2 weeks rumor as previously mentioned above, saw that May 21st is a Friday and made a a guess that Lana will drop something on that day.
I can already see the countdowns starting in the next couple of posts...!

one of my favorite Lana songs, it's definitely in my BTD top 3, timeless. it really proves this woman knows how to make gorgeous and mesmerizing melodies, even back then
