Pitchfork continues stanning the album. They just picked Black Bathing Suit and Sweet Carolina as two of the best songs to listen to this week. 

My mom says the reason she doesn't like Dealer, is because Lana sounds horny when she screams

Ok did Lana put actual drugs in Dealer because I seriously grin every time it starts playing. Never have I had a reaction to a song long this before, it just makes me so happy. 

I'm suddenly over excited about the Blue Banisters versions of Fine China and Wild One (and I Talk to Jesus?). I'm wondering how would they sound as they were apparently reworked for their appearance on the new album... also I feel Fine China would work amazing right after Violets for Roses (but so weird before Dealer... ) and Wild One somewhere in the second half.
Hopefully (or delulully ) we'll get them soon

I've gone back and forth on if the "lie la lie"s in IYLDWM are a reference to Simon & Garfunkel "The Boxer." I always think of it. I can't see a thematic connection between the songs, but it's such a well-known chorus, I'm sure she would've had it in mind.

Lana's one of those people that's really good at storytelling, so for all we know, Dealer could be completely fictional. I don't think it's about G-Eazy, but it's just funny to think there's even a chance of that since her songs on LFL about him are kind of angry as well. Regardless, the way she was able to tap into that genuine anger for the song is astounding. There's so much emotion in the way she sings, and then she tops the song off with somewhat of a playful, almost sarcastic outro. I could literally write an essay on why Dealer is a genius song. 

Official ChartUK just published an article saying it's still a close race between 4 big artists (Elton, Lana, Duran Duran and another) to get the number 1 spot, even if Elton is currently leading first... so, I guess she can still make it! She would break records for having 2 number 1 albums in the same year!

meanwhile, I am still crying listening to Sweet Carolina, such an underestimated gem 

Yes - she's leaving the past, and going to the frontier (just like in old Westerns)

Finally listening to this album on vinyl & wow it's a whole new experience. I'm transcending

No doubt it's an early judgement, yet I'm feeling similar regarding it. Even if a few songs aren't amongst my favourites from her, the album remains her most mature, honest and strongest one yet. Never thought she was going to top Honeymoon either, yet... Yes, BB happened <3
