I managed to keep me from listening to any single before the album so I could listen everything as a whole for the first time, and it was amazing. No it doesn't feel as experimental as SAWAYAMA but I don't mind at all?
Anyways, I do like the album as a whole, "inconsistency" and all - to me it felt more like she explored several genres throughout and it kinda works. I don't actively dislike any song overall, there are some growers here and there. The track run Holy - Your Age - Imagining - Frankenstein is un-de-fea-ta-ble  
Favourite songs: HOLY (TIL YOU LET ME GO) [this one is contender for Favourite Rina Sawayama Song Ever], Hold the Girl, Your Age, Imagining and Frankenstein.
Least favourite tracks: This Hell (lyrics corny af at times), To Be Alive (this one doesn't really feel as a closer tbh).
It's true, the singles hit different when in the context of the album.
A lot of replay value from my end tbh

my colour vinyl turn up today, along with a CD of her Roundhouse performance. wasn't expecting it tbh, and seems like it was just an exclusive with the vinyl.

I haven't really listened to her before and couldn't find much of the new album. So I just ripped a full leak and was like damn, this girl really needs to work on her promo skills. Then I realized the album isn't even released yet. Loool. 
 
I love love love the song Holy. Lyrics, production, relatability, jfgkflgjfkh. Hauntingly beautiful. 
 

kinda disappointed because I still don’t get the meaning of the cover, for the single I do, and also cannot order the Spotify ver vinyl because I don’t live in uk and I already order the standard red
however I do like the cover match with the vinyl color I love she does not go with normal black vinyl

but yes, it does come with the photo booklet  mostly the photos we've already seen for the single covers but there were 2 that i hadn't seen up until now

idk if any other aussies have encountered the same thing but my local JB Hi-Fi already had the HTG vinyls on the shelves lol. here's a pic of the variant they're stocking in case you're interested.

The way the spotify exclusive vinyl / HTG single cover (x) captures the vibe of the album so well. She def should've chose it as the standard album cover. Also the singles really did Not do this album justice lol. This album's So good, all of the singles work wayy better in the context of this album. This Hell is probs the weakest song on the album (even though I do like it).

i like the album. its no SAWAYAMA (but in the end, how do you recreate or top an album like that), but i like it. It's incredibly relatable to me.
 
The only thing i HATE about this is Rina confusing Frankenstein with Frankenstein's monster  

I've just realised that her albums that aren't planned are all in lower case meaning that Midnights has been planned all along?

We know that both folklore and evermore were pandemic records and weren't part of Taylor's plan, as she would've been mid Lover album cycle and starting the Lover Fest tour in 2020. 
 
There's also a lot of speculation that she had already finished her 6th album in 2016 (following her normal release pattern) and it was postponed/scrapped in favour of making what became reputation (there's a lot of theories) and Taylor hints at this in the Look What You Made Me Do music video when she crosses out TS6 and writes reputation instead.
 
These 3 albums are her only albums that have all lowercase album titles? Meaning Midnights is an album that has been planned and most likely has been in evolution since the Lover era!

At this point Charlotte should make a streaming platform where we all pay her monthly for her to release new music, upload all demos and scrapped songs.
 
I mean, I would gladly pay 10 bucks just to hear all her work during a month.
I would even pay more if it's necessary.

Just realized that Don't Forget turned 3 months old today...

At this point we all know part of this situation is her fault. 
 
We all know the album is not finished and she has been proven a liar when it comes to the whole "the album is ready but the label won't let me release it" narrative. 
 
It's been 9 years since her last album and she had plenty of time to finish it,  but this year she mentioned in many interviews that she is still not done with it and she's still trying to finish it. 
 
So, there's still no album to release. 
 
Let's stop defending her blindly, she shares the blame along with Capitol. That's the absolute truth and we all are witnesses.

I really need the hear the entire album before I buy it because it's a bit of a mess so far, and I didn't feel that way about the debut.
