I will share what this Instagram drama (among other things over time) has showed me a little bit about misinformation — that virtually nobody on social media seems to have discernibility when it comes to it.
 
Among Lana fans, it ranges from people trying to justify Lana’s appearance changing from ages 26 to 36 (as if that needs to be justified — let humans be) by creating this narrative that suggests Lana herself has confirmed certain habits related to her health (which is a very gross insinuation to make, frankly), to shaming other fans for liking Lana Del Ray AKA Lizzy Grant because it’s an album that’s about her “trauma” that Lana allegedly “hates” or that it was shelved because it was inherently a “flop” according to her managers  — it perplexes me how this misinformation spreads like a wildfire. Even if it’s speculative, it’s not respectful, and there is a very clear difference between having these speculative thoughts and then sharing them on your platform as if they are confirmed pieces of information. 
 
All this does is positions Lana as something she is not, and it creates this discourse surrounding her that is ultimately the reason why the media has been unkind and not a great place for her. It’s not always mal-intended on fans’ parts, but I wish people would think before they post. It’s not that hard. 

I don’t know about others, but it creates a disengagement from the community of fans.

The person who made up the Target drama just posted to their story —  “it started as a joke it was not supposed to get out my spam page enough”.
 
Wow. The culture really is sick if that’s people’s idea of a joke. 

whether you identify what lana did as doxxing or not, it’s still immature. i am on her side that she has every right to defend herself but lana posting the account and pictures of him is unnecessary

That "poor kid" had no issues trying to defame her. He's on social media and has no right to privacy with public profiles. She didn't leak any personally identifiable information that's not publicly out there. He's lucky if that's all she does, since she can totally sue him for defamation if she really wanted to. 

she has every right to defend herself. period. she should not think twice about it from now on though. prolly some immature teen made up the rumor. 

i mean, if you're gonna post a fake story about a celeb, they have every right to call you out on it. end of story.  

It makes me really sad that this shit kind of ruined BB week. Completely unnecessary.
Lana seems to not be able to not care about shit people say about her and that's not good if you're a celebrity/public figure. I understand her so much because every little thing people have to say about me really gets to me, be it good or bad, but specially bad stuff affects me so much and I tend to not think before reacting. That's why I do therapy every week because being so sensitive is not always a good thing.
I just hope this situation doesn't escalate more... Ed had already cleared things out. Poor Lana, people need to leave her alone
