I’m listening to The Other Woman and I was just imagining if in Lana’s setlist she did a transition from Chemtrails extended outros into The Other Woman…. pls

I hope she was inspired by some of AKA Lizzy Grant lyrics for this album.

Literally. My biggest fear having tough on lasso, it won’t be cohesive

11 months between the lead single and the album, with plenty of little snippets along the way.
she also announced chemtrails the day after nfr was released, so we had more 19 months of waiting for that right off the bat. releasing new album(s) almost every year is great, but her big mouth makes the wait become torture

Were you here for the Norman Rockwell era? Nothing about a Lana album rollout makes sense haha

She’s like that one boyfriend that picks you up but doesn’t tell you where you’re going and you’re like, ah ok well hope it’s somewhere fun, except with her releases

    Her and jack for sure.

i'm so excited for these singles. But since she said "two MORE", it means Tough was the first (told ya).

so, i guess first single july, second single september (since august is clearly not happening), and third single november (by the two month break logic of the first two). Or something like that.

By that logic, february/march 2025 might be when the album drops, which would be two years after OB. Which tracks with the usual in-between albums period for lana

With the album being confirmed to have some Southern Gothic influence, Deadly Night Cypress seems realer and realer...

On the train home now. I genuinely think she did great tonight. Despite the crowd being horrific and full of idiots she seemed so happy, engaged and looked AMAZING - I was in awe. I saw her in Barcelona in May and genuinely think she did better tonight!!

I’m not sure what happened with the time but the signal there is awful and my app showed 8pm start the whole time. Apparently it was changed to 7:50 but her stage was literally not done being set up until then anyway, so I was genuinely shocked when she came on only 10 mins late lol. I was also so annoyed when they cut her off bc I thought she had 10 mins left.

Tbh tho if they’re changing her set time on the day what can they expect?? Especially for someone that has a reputation for always being late. Anyways hopefully she can finish tomorrow. But she looked incredible tonight.

why the hell does lana have the reputation of always being late when 20 minutes late is the standard entrance for every single artist i’ve ever seen live 😭not that it’s good everyone is usually late but like why are we acting like this is a lana issue and not just an everyone issue

Because she don’t give a fuck, she’s there to hum I’m in love I’m in love, wave at the gays and collect the money, it’s time to wake up. This ain’t even funny anymore

Am I the only one who thinks there’s something off more than just vocals or setlist? She just seems not present on stage to me? Any tour before this it felt like she was there and enjoying the songs, interacting with the crowd and so on. She seems super off this tour to me especially these two last concerts.

I really like her look tonight! The pin straight hair and the simple dress made me think of the 90s alt rock scene. I instantly thought of radiohead, alanis morissette, sixpence none the richer, oasis, jewel etc…

having said that, Ride performance was outstanding, vocals ate and GAWD the face card tonight..

Blue Banisters is a quality record.

Some people want to act superior and like the album is above their taste level of not "Lana's best" or whatever, but the gripes I've seen people hold about it are petty. It's her most direct, transparent, blunt record to date (before DYK).

The album quite literally spells out Lana's heartache. It tells a full story, maybe parts of that are distorted, but nonetheless, you feel Lana's pain, agony and remorse.

She can't make a bad album!

I feel similarly about Chemtrails. Clearly, Lana is over LA but more than that, she's over the game (that's dark) and just wants to be loved (like a woman). But seriously, reflecting on life before fame, her spirituality, her sins, her detachment from her ego/persona/celebrity. It's such a rich album.

    She's a genius.

Exactly. He’s not even a bad producer at  all - in fact, he’s extremely talented. I understand he’s not going to be everyone’s cup of tea, but people seem to completely attribute Lana doing more “boring” music in her last few records to Jack, which is completely unfair. If Lana wants to do folk ballads, she’s going to do them, regardless of whether she’s working with Jack or not. Let’s not forget he produced Ocean Blvd & NFR, her two most critically acclaimed records (and my two personal favorites of hers - absolute masterpieces). Chemtrails and BB weren’t anything crazy, but they were what Lana WANTED. Some people need to stop acting like Jack is completely running the show and realize that Lana’s the one who sets the vision for her art - and obviously Jack does a pretty good job at capturing her vision because she keeps working with him!

This is what I’m saying  People hold her to such high standards, some people in this fandom will never be happy. When artists tour for a new album it’s usually the same performance at each show with maybe some small changes.

also the dress thing- I’m sure some people would also get mad if she had a new dress each time because (not to get off topic but) fashion is so excessively consumed in our world today. Those dresses are expensive and look amazing on her so why not make use of them instead of wearing them once. I think the whole outfit repeating made up rule is dumb.

this part...like yes that's how a tour works actually  the only major artist i can think of that plays different songs every night is taylor and even then it's only 2. anyone else who switches the setlist usually has a rotation of like 3 songs they switch through and i think you could even argue lana does that as well, they're just not songs people are happy with lol. i don't think it's shocking that a show created with festivals in mind primarily contains her most well-known songs (and bartender).
