I guess, at the end of the day, they have the best intentions to releasing what they promise. 
 
But there are so many things going behind the scenes that may stop em. Maybe rights, maybe the label, maybe money, who knows. 
 
Sure, it's very disappointed that not many artists can come through with this.

Venus Fly Trap is as good as Oh No! or Primadonna. Man's World is as good as I'm a Ruin or Teen Idle. We now just have to wait for something on the Froot level. Can Marina do an art pop album already?

she is a waste of talent. she has obviously shown that she CAN make amazing music and she just isn't. i would say her only good pieces of work are one of the boys (minus THAT track), teenage dream, parts of prism & the double aside single that never was (never really over / harleys in hawaii)
 
like @Mer she needs to go back to making pop rock music because i really think she would shine doing that

New song sounds like Witness and Smile. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing, it's just that she's never gonna have another big hit with this type of music again. I wish she'd just embrace that she's not going to be a main pop girl anymore (bc, tbh, "main pop girls" don't even exist anymore), and release an alt-rock/indie influenced album...

maybe it's just your personal taste, but i think the songs from this album, such as get naked, perfect lover, get back, everybody, toy soldier, etc. sound like the opposite of generic, the production is fantastic & the vibe/atmosphere of the songs are amazing as well, i really think they're quality pop songs, i actually think they're works of art in their own way which i don't always feel about pop music, but some of britney's work from blackout/in the zone is beyond the usual expectation that pop music is inherently generic/less artistically valuable than other genres of music, if you think gimme more sounds great, maybe try to listen to the album again, because a lot of the songs on this album share that sound, specifically get naked, perfect lover, get back, & everybody
 
i would say their sound is innovative & timeless, even for today, i actually think they feel even more exceeding & innovative now because pop/mainstream music seems so boring & commercialized now, i think pop music in the 2000s was just better in general

i don’t agree with most of anthony fantano’s reviews but he’s 100% right about pog. the one thing i’ll give grimes is that the new music video is beautiful but the song is one of the least creative things she’s ever released and her vocals sound so off. not to mention the atrocious lyrics about elon

the vocals are from the finished version. the actual demo which she recorded the vocals for had a little slower BPM, vocals which she didn't re-record when it got sped up when Sam did the new drums and percussion thus they were adapted (you can tell in certain parts of the song as you can hear the vocals get a little choppy/glitchy). the vocals on this are from the stems i.e. the final version. this version is 100% no where near as listenable as the final either miss thing - not with the horrible mix of those claps that are god damn louder than everything else.

I just love this song so much. I always love when Lana makes songs that broach the end of life and the fragility of it all, and when she addresses her legacy. This gem is so post-Honeymoon and totally retrospective of that album’s narrative.
