omg this reminds me i need to make the updated pre-release iceberg 

i mean having a psychotic breakdown is one way to move on 

its almost here you guys .... we went from months to weeks to days to just HOURS now  will miss being crazy with yall

fun tidbit, the record store owner said the label was very disorganized with this whole thing. They reached out to them last minute and the store basically had to figure everything out themselves and they weren’t told crucial information until literally the day of. They also were supposed to receive physical copies in order for people to be able to do preorders, but Interscope didn’t come through, and they were only able to play the album via a watermarked streaming link from the label 
 

Well everyone, we’re in the final stretch.. just a little over 24 hours now until the album is released and we say goodbye to this monstrosity of a Pre-Release Thread and move on to the Post-Release! I couldn’t be more ecstatic that the day is finally arriving. I had my first listen of the record today at the listening event, and I’m so excited for my second listen. Off to sleep now - my last sleep before release time!

including a rapist-apologist, pro-life, homophobic pastor on your album doesn't make your art anymore "challenging" when it is just straight up including him because you go to his church and like him  it's poor taste... also people are forgetting putting him on the album is literally going to give him royalties so she isn't just supporting him with words she's giving him money 

This whole Judah Smith could go really wrong and sour for her and that could only make her become even more defensive. I hope that doesn’t overshadow the whole thing - even though I agree with the users that said Lana shouldn’t have featured a person like Judah Smith on her album.
 
Oh and the “art should be uncomfortable” brigade can miss me with that. Not here for that convo anymore.

being either a Christian or a pastor isn’t an excuse to support bigotry and (let’s be honest) down right objectivity stupidity. Lana is totally not spared from criticism. This man being on her album is an open endorsement of his Republican views and I can’t support that. Somebody who is anti-abortion shouldn’t be uplifted by someone who allegedly cares about social causes (Lana). She can easily find a church that is non-denominational and/or progressive. There are plenty. The church on my corner has both BLM and pride flags flying and donates to Planned Parenthood. Stop making excuses for her. 
 
Looking forward to that mess of an interlude being the least streamed track on the album. It’s so uncomfortable  

i mean honestly fuck that guy there should be some controversy because people shouldn't support him i understand why celebrities go to these churches but judah smith is disgusting and i don't think lana should be free from criticism for outwardly supporting a homophobic, transphobic, pro-life, rapist pastor lmao
