Charlie began posting those AI generated images on social a lot right after users started posting them in this very thread. He has some creepy ones of Lana on his IG stories right now. Share some news about LDR9, Charlie?

It would be downright cruel if Rob had been misdirecting this whole time and his posts were about his solo debut, and he just really does not seem like that kind of person.
He is most definitely in studio for LDR9. 

Maybe she is releasing another “bridge album”, the way LFL was a bit of a mix of everything she had done with the first three albums and a bit of what’s to come. Maybe LDR9 could be a more cohesive LFL, with a mix of everything the last three singer -songwriter albums have been and a pinch of new? Because right now, the info we got feel a bit contradictory, about the sound of it all. 

Maybe she's working with yet another producer for the album or they are just mastering some of the songs in London for some reason and Rob's there cause he didn’t have anything better to do and wanted to learn about the process or something 
Alex Turner and Miles Kane are UK based so maybe we are getting another TSLP outtake 
I have to do my research to see if I can find who's that man in the picture 
Edit: I've checked Dealer, Thunder and California's full credits and stalked every man that did something audio engineering related and couldn't find the man in the picture (him facing away from the camera doesn't help)

Lyrically and thematically, I hope this album links to Behind the Iron Gates and Patent Leather Do-Over (the same way NFR links to Violet), so here’s something foggy, serene, and Sylvia-inspired —

Hopefully because she's finally learned her lesson about titles that change, dates that change, albums that are endlessly postponed. 

Lana went from spoiling half of NFR to not even posting a single snippet while Rob and Ben are teasing all the time something imminent 
I'm sure Lana is not against them teasing but it's weird that she doesn't want to reveal anything yet (not even the album title, which we usually get very early in her album cycles).
 
She always announces things on a whim anywhere she can (in a random concert, in a tweet about a leaked song, in a interview, in a screenshot of an interview while defending herself and claiming revenge... ). There has to be a reason for this secretive behavior

If she's ready to return to glamour and fun and some surrealism I'd love for the music videos to have this  energy.
 
 

i agree 100000 percent. Her breathy vocals were cute on FIILY and WD but the fact that almost every new song features  breathy vocals needs to stop. I want Buddy/GKIT in the church vocals. 
 
She also needs to stop being afraid to do more than one vocal take. I get that her imperfect vocals were on purpose on BB but I hope she’s past that even though raw voice memo vocals with reverb slapped on doesn’t sound promising.

I thought about what Lana said about sending Drew her voice memos and having him chart music over it, and it reminded me of how Violet’s tracks are her voice memos too. The Land of 1000 Fires with its cinematic instrumental and low-fi vocal treatment really makes for an interesting sonic atmosphere, so I’d love for this record to be in the vein of Violet. It would be such an experimental, cinematic, avant garde, psychjazz masterpiece 

if anything, the mystery of this era is shaping up to be a much cleaner rollout. no leaking, no snippets, no fake dates, no fake titles, etc… i think we finally have a chance at a more normal rollout. 

She explicitly said in one of the performances that singing in bars made her miss touring so I guess hitting the stage ignited the spark in her again 

Earlier today, Lana followed Eliel Ford on Instagram. He appears to be friends with others in Lana’s circle (Annie T, Craig Stark, Hunter Barker, Stefan Morton, etc) as well as Christopher Ripley who worked on the Chemtrails video. Eliel is also a video director himself, having directed music videos for Travis Scott, Baby Keem, and ASAP Nast. While it’s possible Lana followed him because of their friend connections, perhaps he could be working on a Lana video in the future? x

it’s okay if people don’t care for her voice, but the way people talk about her here at times, is honestly disgusting
 
same with jack antonoff, & people are even starting to do it with rob grant, just because they can’t stand the fact of lana making music which they don’t like

I think that Lana could make a really great country album(Dance till we die is amazing) but Nikki needs to stay far away from her. Especially because Lana is heavily influenced by the people around her, it's also kind of weird that's she's really only performed with Nikki this year, I feel like she's become really heavily reliant on her which might not be a great thing.

I think I say this every album cycle but this is the most excited I've been to hear what's coming. For Chemtrails we had an extensive interview where she described a lot about the album (cause it was supposed to be out already by that time or very soon but delays happened ).
BB we already had the title track snippet, then the 3 singles and the unreleased tracks so we also knew more or less what was coming.
But LDR9 is a big mystery other than knowing producers and a couple of remarks Lana made (she didn't even reveal the title and I know she had it already unless the interview was way older than the photos). She's been so secretive about this project and that makes me even more excited (plus the fact that insiders are clueless this time around)
I sense greatness coming 

no know I KNOW she at least visits cus the pink vinyl. the white vinyl, the green, the pearl photoshoot for violets I KNOW. the energy, and other intuitive guesses I feel!
