While I agree this limbo part is boring, I still think it’s an improvement from the last two eras, at least to me: No BS dates, no title that could change, no snippet, not even a song title that could end up being scrapped. She is only revealing what is 💯 sure. Plus The photo spread from W Mag was gorgeous. This period of time is similar to when she revealed she was working on WHF, the day NFR was released: We knew at some point something would be coming, when she felt it would be done. Plus I still enjoy BB and Buddy’s RV weekly (but I understand that if BB let you down, someone could be very curious if the next album will be more satisfying).
our problem is that we kinda all jumped so hard when we saw W Mag, thinking the era had started.

After dropping MAC and VB she shared the title of the album, 100 snippets of practically every song on the album, released HIADT in January 2019, and then went radio silent for 6-7 months except to talk about VBBOTG like 3 times. It seemed like she refused to even acknowledge the album after teasing it for months. Litcherally a nightmare. By the time the album was released she had shared at least a snippet of literally every song on the album. The COCC and BB pre-release eras were child’s play compared to NFR

Why are Lana stans such one track minds?

    - track has guitars "OMG THAT SOUNDS LIKE IT'S STRAIGHT FROM ULTRAVIOLENCE!'
    - track is not newly recorded by Lana 1 hour before vinyls are printed "OMG SHE'S SO LAZY I DON'T WANT ANOTHER MIXTAPE"

Maybe I'm just delusional but has anyone else been noticing a shift with her these past few months? The V shoot/interview, instagram posts, sightings...there's a fascinating new energy brewing within her. I can't wait to see what form it takes and I don't care anymore if it we have to wait until next year to hear it

Those rumours sound legit to me, and yeah I know I'm being deulu. I just think that Lana is really experimenting this time, like she wants to just fuck shit up. For example, her new bf seems like someone who can get Lana out of her shell and I think Lana might apply this new found freedom to her music. I might even say this new album might be more controversial than Ultraviolence

At this point I don't think we're getting an album this year. And, to be honest, I don't mind it at all. If anything, the trip to Italy, Rhode Island etc. might have inspired her even more. I would gladly wait until next summer as long as she intends to release her trippiest, cuntiest and most sophisticated album to date.

Hoping we get some more of TLSP outtakes on this project cos California, Thunder and Dealer are some of the best songs she's done post-Honeymoon.

lana talking about k again (it wouldn’t surprise me if he still influences her music) would be fascinating, c’mon lana, let’s expand your lore!

Here I am, once again, to report another LDR9 dream I had
Lana did an interview with Pitchfork that also included a photoshoot. The pictures I remember from the shoot were her in two long, flowy dresses, one yellow and one blue, where she was posing up against a large tree. Her hair was long, wavy, and parted to the side. It sort of reminds me of a cross between these photos:

The main photo used for the article was artwork of her, sort of like they've done for previous articles. In the artwork, she had big bouffant hair and gold hoop earrings, sort of like for her 2017 V magazine shoot, and she looked mad. The article talked more about how she was expressing anger on her new record, so it was fitting.

The article also included a bunch of photos of her at the Gucci Cosmogonie event, apparently because there was a section of the article that talked about Gucci & fashion.

In the interview, she confirmed the title of the record, which indeed used the DNC acronym. However, it was very complex and not something that anyone could have guessed. It was: Distrust ____ Conundrum (can't remember the second word)
She said it was a reference to how she's become more distrusting of others over the years, mostly romantic partners and those in the media.
She also stated that the first track on the record was titled Exceptional, and said it was a response to the treatment she received by the media in recent years. (In one of my other LDR9 dreams, there was also a song that was a response to media treatment, so I feel like this is really a sign that there will actually be a song like this on the record. Subconscious, don't fail me now.) She also said she almost scrapped the track because she kept forgetting how to spell the word exceptional and kept trying to put a 'k' in it. This sparked fan conspiracies that there would be another song about K on the record since apparently this was a sign that he was still on her mind.

That's all I remember from the article because I didn't read the whole thing, but when I went to post it on LanaBoards, I saw that one of our banned members hacked the site so they could make a thread for it, but they totally messed up the formatting of the site. There was a bunch of jumbled code and it was a real headache.  Let's hope that bit doesn't come true!
Then while I was trying to fix it, Elina from ANTM Cycle 11 brought me a sandwich that contained peanut butter, jelly, mayo, mustard, cucumber, and tomato on a footlong white bread sub. It was disgusting.

    That's all for now

I wish she would finally release an actual "witchy" album like she teased back in the LFL trailer. Kinda doubt it at this point in her career but one can hope

I don’t know what to expect sonically from LDR9, I just hope her current man’s music had some sort of influence on her, just to switch the things up a bit.

I'd rather not use previously leaked material on LDR9 and her other forthcoming albums, unless they're rerecorded, or she releases an album of all the leaked songs together (rerecorded or not).

I can understand her desire to use great material like 'Hollywood' and 'Angels Forever,' even the original 'Live Or Die,' but is she still in the L.A. frame of mind, or the murderous rampage state of mind reflected in 'Live Or Die'? Especially after Uvalde?

I love 'Serene Queen,' but after the last three albums, is that where she is temperamentally?

I keep thinking about where she could go next sonically, and then I think about Robert Grant's involvement, and I can only see him slowing and lowering the mood, a la 'Sweet Carolina,' 'Violets For Roses' (which I love), and other Carly Simon-esque, middle-of-the-road numbers. On the other hand, Rob clearly heard her sing, "You fucked me so good I almost said I...love..you," so maybe his presence has little immediate self-conscious effect on her.

My preference would be all new material.
