It being emotional & touching deeper topics doesn’t mean it’s good lmao. It is a messy album, with half of it being older songs clumped together, and 3 of them being literal youtube rips. I don’t see it as a full body of work, it’s literally a compilation album. The older songs are some of the best tho, songs like Beautiful and VOTBG are just bad & boring TBH. The “You don’t like it cause you don’t get it” mindset is so annoying & pretentious lol, we get the references, it just ain’t a great album!

the pandemic mixed with demos from ten years ago

This album is great, but it feels like a ghost. There's no life in it. It's really nice, has great vocals and lyrics but there's a spark that's missing. It's like Hauntya Del Rey possessed a grammaphone and just started transmitted it from the ether. Very October. It's funny that it was almost a summer album. It is very autumnal.

literally. Violets sounds like a NFR reject and Beautiful is got to be one of corniest mommiest songs ive ever heard like Adele wrote it trying to be Lana.

I still like BB, but Beautiful and Violets are pure tedium and drag the middle of the album down. Imagine IYLDWM segueing straight into Dealer and you have a killer album.

I still dislike this album, but it has BB, Wildflower Wildfire and Cherry Blossom and Nectar of the Gods and I feel super connected to those last two songs, I actually used to cry a lot to CB back in the day, so I'm glad she put it there. Happy birthday, Blue Banisters! 

happy bday BB! i still find you sort of confusing but can't deny that some of my fav lana songs ever are on here (cherry blossom, nectar of the gods, living legend, if you lie down with me) but how they fit in with the newer songs remains a mystery to me. unfortunately, BB, you also contain the hands down worst song in lana's discography (beautiful) but all told it's amazing that it took nine albums for her, one of my fav songwriters of all time, to make a song i hate this much. BB you will always be an enigma and honestly that's a serve of its own.
