I have been listening to Eternal Sunshine almost every day since it came out. The only complaints I have are: it's a bit too short, Yes, And? shouldn't be on the album (it doesn't fit with the rest of the songs on the album). The concept is great. The lyrics are great. The music video for We Can't Be Friends (Wait For Your Love) makes me cry everytime I watch it (it's my favorite music video of hers). I might go back and really listen to her other albums. I started listening to her albums when Sweetener came out and I only liked a few songs on it (it was the same with Thank You, Next although I like Thank You, Next a bit more than Sweetener).  I like a few songs on Positions as well.

I respect an artist taking their time with music but like- if the b-sides are cancelled or delayed, can we at least get a single or something lmao😭 We literally haven’t gotten a new song since July

I used to be insanely obsessed with Portals back then and I used to think it was the perfect album. Looking back I was definitely on drugs . Portals was definitely disappointing and she nearly totally butchered it. The only thing saving the album was the only good 1-2 songs. What was also disappointing was that she wasted interesting visuals on such a sucky album  Other than that I still like Crybaby, K-12, and some songs from After School. It also annoys me how she puts 13 songs on the standard edition, like at that point just put 15

the more i listen to this album, the more i love it. and guess what... the way she uses trap sounds here is like excellent, not cheap & annoying like Positions, and dare i say, the trap beats sounds even better than Thank u next
in terms of songwriting and lyrical content, if you say she wrote all these songs herself, this is her story, her honesty, her authenticity, i'd fucking believe it because this is the first time i feel this raw, this real and "human" in an Ari's project. While thank u next is not as convincing to show me the songwriter that she is.
Yeah, i think i have to put this album on the same level with sweetener - her magnum opus.

Anyways, do we know anything new about the Hamster Wheel snippet? Are we getting it in full anytime soon? Sounds great so far 

It might not fit sonically but I actually think "Battle of the Larynx" is a very great song. Don't get the hate here.

I know talking about her artistic decay has been the topic of this thread for years now, but it still amazes me how someone, I though could do no wrong like her, has dropped the ball so hard in terms of quality! 
 
how’s possible she’s the same person who wrote Dollhouse, Tag, Your It, Miss Potato Head or Bittersweet Tragedy… and now doing songs like Battle of the Larynx, Glued, Brain & Heart or Field Trip… 
 
the leaks of Portals gave me some hope but she instead chose to release the messiest concept album in ages.
 
Crybaby was a perfect era cause, even though the outtakes are great, I can’t imagine the album any other way! It’s perfect the way it is and the songs chosen are ideal! They work so well to the narrative and still are cohesive without being boring 
 
in Portals, on the other hand, I can imagine the album with any tracklist other than the one we were given… that’s how bad she selected the songs. And don’t blame the leaks cause, for example, Miley had Plastic Hearts completely leaked months before it’s release and it’s still her best work. the same goes for many other artists… at the end of the day, leaks only get to hardcore fans, but the general public won’t even notice. That’s how hard you are willing to compromise the quality of your work? For a few twitter gays? 
 
she was my favourite artist by far, her concepts and aesthetic were sooo interesting, but she lost it for me… completely. It’s clear Kinetics + One love had a lot to do with it since her best songs are with them
