When I became a stan, I did have some few very weird misinterpretations:

Many years ago, when I listened to West Coast, I always used to think this song and especially that line: "I can see my baby swinging, his Parliament's on fire and his hands are up" was about how Lana introduced the life of West Coast to her British boyfriend who is an arsonist and who set a fire to the British Parliament building and I also thought it was a reference to Claude Monet's painting of that building, when I thought that it was on fire until I realised it was a sun

But how did I find out the real meaning? When I was in a store, there was a guy who wanted to buy cigarettes and he told the cashier that he wanted Parliament and when I heard it I was like  and when Lana made the smoking hand gesture in live shows while singing West Coast I understood the song way more than I used to.

Also when I listened to High By The Beach for the first time I thought that "getting high" means feeling closer to heaven or "going upstairs to feel closer to heaven" or something "Stairway To Heaven" reference, god how stupid I was. When she used that "getting high" line in other songs in drug context and when other singers used that line too, I found out the real meaning lol

There's one this I have noticed about Diet Mountain Dew demo lyrics recently and now I'm kinda confused, is it:

"Scary, my God, you're divine!" - this is the one I had always thought the lyric was, meaning that "omg, how scary that you're divine!"

    Or is it:

"Scary? My God, you're divine!" - that's what I have seen most fans quote as and I only just noticed that recently, meaning that "omg, you're not scary, you're divine!"

when i was younger, i didn't know that old money was an actual term that meant something, so i thought that "old money" literally referred to money, like dollar bills, that are old, it still would've worked for lana's aesthetic honestly

Yeah, even if it's not about that (I never knew about that theory), California is a goddamn sad song. Actually Norman has multiple deeply sad moments expressed in a rather calm yet highly emotive way.

"I am a dragon, you're a whore' It took me until this month to realize that dragons only ate virgins, so the line is just Lana saying this person has no use to her.

Without You was great for Coachella and I think it made us all revisit the song, which is gorgeous. But the tiny little keys in the intro are definitely a no. Byron should be playing the song with the piano.  Her openers are usually bombastic, although it's her choice for this show to be more quiet.

From the Netherlands I traveled to Porto with my 15 year old son because my son is such a big Lana fan. He wanted a good spot so we were already waiting at 0700 in the morning. A very nice boy wrote VIP numbers on your hand (which later turned out to be of no use). The wait in the bright sun was hot hot hot, but what I remember most were meeting so many nice, friendly people from all over Europe. that made the time pass a little faster. Unfortunately, I thought the organization was very poor. It's a wonder there were no injuries. When the 'doors' opened people went crazy. some fell over fences or were pushed over. I thought that was really scary. In the end we were able to get a good  spot and when it was clear that the storm would pass us by, we could really enjoy it. Lana was great. She is in my heart and I hope to see her more often!

just wanna say that the Crowd was Spectacular & honestly i hope her future crowds have that much energy and love because i think it calms her & gives her at least an extra boost of energy or confidence on stage. (aside from the pesky annoying fan who jumped the barricade.. not cool )

also so thankful there is a beautiful & high quality livestream of this show; Because she SHONE! bby … those vocals were so Divine, the makeup Etienne did was fabulous & the hair was absolutely perfect!
it seems that she was having a great time on stage, and that makes me super happy. i did feel at times she was Super into the music and after seeing the paparazzi video i do hope she is doing okay & not feeling too sad. i’m sure traveling & time zones is a lonely and tiring feeling.

I still consider Let Me Love You as COTCC album's lead single. I have never understood why people have never considered it as a lead single? I mean, it was released on every streaming platform, got a radio release, a music video and even a Jimmy Fallon live peformance lol (and she performed that in the Ally Christmas special show as well or something).

I don’t think Lana is as confessionalistic as she thinks she is and I think it’s part of why she has such a long career. She’s been able to air things out over a long period of time but not fully airing them out right off the bat

I loved this show from every aspect. Such a great livestream too, I'm sure I'll watch this constantly.

In the other hand, I'm glad the setlist conversation is getting more traction because I genuinely think it needs to reach Lana herself or her band.

Candy Necklace, Paris Texas, Margaret, Let the Light In, Taco Truck, If You Lie Down With Me, Thunder, Tulsa Jesus Freak, Cinnamon Girl, The Greatest, 13 Beaches, Music to Watch Boys To, Freak, Salvatore, Flipside... She has an entire collection of never-performed songs and fan favorites that need a comeback. It's insane to me, if I was such a music maker I'd be dying to sing all these songs with my audience. It's kinda embarrassing that Italian crowds beg for Salvatore each year, yet she only "graces" them with an acapella version every now and then. Doesn't her band ask for the chords and melodies? For some rehearsal of the song? Imagine how crazy and amazing it'd be if she randomly did The Blackest Day or Sad Girl or any other song really. Again, she has an entire collection of songs to choose from.

But don't take this negatively, because as I said, I love every song she's singing right now. I'm re-watching the show and I'm enjoying it so much, but there's the diehard fan in me that's begging for more songs, because I love her and her voice.

Speaking of her voice, she sounded excellent. A Lana show goes from mid to good to good to great when her vocals are on point.

Honestly, I find it disheartening that she doesn't push her current image through music and aesthetics on the show. It was already Lolita Lana.

I mean, Ocean Blvd has this abandoned tunnel concept that could be explored more. Okay, she's been wearing bows and being more coquettish, and little by little we have fans replacing flower crowns with a bow in their hair. There were viral trends with this aesthetic, in general, using songs from the album, and, to me, it seems insane that she didn't sing Margaret and Let the Light In - and, not simply sing, but perform a breathtaking performance, with dancers, instruments and lots of pomp.

She has a positive point: the structure of the stage's castle has golden cracks, an allusion to Kintsugi, but which only lovers of the track can notice - so why doesn't she sing?

Ocean Blvd was an album that had a cool positive balance: it caught the public's attention, brought aesthetics and boosted an image of Lana as more mature and far from that American pin-up. But she's the only one who doesn't promote the album. Since she is not comfortable performing on TV, nor is she interested in making music videos, the minimum would be to sing the songs on the show. It's a rant.

But, I wonder, how many albums does she need to release so that, with each release, she can replace an old track with a single one from each album and thus have a new setlist.

By the same calculations, I'm looking forward to 2035, when we will have a completely new tracklist. Or, to be more positive - and delusional - I really hope that she makes the switch to country, and that it inspires her to modify sets, aesthetics and the entire structure of the show. It won't be possible to sing BTD tracks in the western (although she's more likely to sing versions like that Cola meme (ya ya yo) than a country tour with songs from Lasso, her newest album.

I’m Brazilian but I moved to Portugal last year and today obviously I saw her in Porto 🥰

When I was 14 listening to LDR songs in my bedroom I thought I would never be able to see her live. Today was my 4th Lana concert ❤️ (the other 3 were in Brazil).

She was amazing as always tonight and a lot of people there were seeing her for the first time and I was so so happy for them because the joy I felt when I saw her perform for the first time (in 2018) was unique.

QUEEN putting these bastards on their place, i think that what pisses her off is that she just wants to spend time with her family while paparazzi are like vultures around them
