Everyone getting uncomfortable with the political topic and wanting it to be moved to the random discussion thread...what if that I told you that was apart of her goal with this album? To get into the nitty gritty. Unpack the trauma. Discuss the uncomfortable topics instead of shying away from them. She's putting it all on the table. I mean, me and a few others (i think @DCooper was included) had a really insightful and imho meaningful discussion about religion when A&W dropped. Like think about... this 90% Gay ass forum, respectfully discussing things that we'd usually just immediately dismiss. Its all thanks to her, and I think it's about damn time  very excited to open the floodgates of discussion when the album drops

it is too plain for my liking, its the same reason why i am not the biggest fan of old money too
 
edit: i like old money more bcs of the string arrangements are heavenly but whereas lmlylaw... it is jsut a cute song

i overplayed the hell out of it back then, but ngl for the past few days i been in the process of re-falling in love w born to die as an album all over again so like idk i am never sure abt these things

And i don't hate LFL, but it's just not comparable to the other girls

'Born To Die' gets no love, and it greatly deserves it, in my opinion. To me, it's one of the essential Lana songs, as it came early in her 'Lana Del Rey' career and outlines and delineates her entire perspective on life and love, at least as it was up to, perhaps, LFL, and perhaps beyond to the present.

i personally prefer some of the demos for love more than the one that was on the album

for me it is more about the dynamics and how it sets the tone for the record

I mean, how could you be sure with Born To Die and Ride being so low on your list?

i think its an opener that will grow with me. now i dont like it all too much but i can see myself in 6 months singing to it.

It's one of my Top 5 Lana songs. 

I think there's an emphasis on "happy" with tunnel. The songs are written from a current perspective, looking back. Lana has mentioned how happy she is now quite a few times. For me, historically there's a lot of heaviness in her discography but it comes from someone who is sorting it out, or still experiencing it. With Tunnel there seems to be clarity in the lyrics and a lot of light in the production. I think we've always known Lana to sing sad songs but she's finally singing from a place of happiness rather than hurt. She's able to see clearly now and she's laser focused.
