MamaDelGhey liked a post in a topic by Evergreen in Lana songs with poor mastering/engineering?
Some of you be saying anything I'll just post a quote from Dean Reid (one of her collaborators) about how Lana hears music, and many of the things you mentioned are intentional.
Dean Reid: “We do a lot of low-pass filtering and lo-fying to take the edge off the high end. We use plug-ins all the time to darken stuff. With vocals and acoustic instruments I’m always notching out harsh frequencies. Any high squeal or ring will be sucked out. Lana likes to listen to things on her iPod on the beach, and she wants them to sound murky and mysterious. We’re very conscious of that. If we do something that doesn’t fit and that sticks out, we immediately get reactions from Lana or Rick. There is this thing about Lana that if we know she’ll be showing up in half an hour, we have an instinct about what she’s going to like and what not, and so it’s like: ‘Hurry up and make it sound good, so when she walks in the door she’ll be smiling.’ And if she’s not smiling we know how to pull it together really quickly. But she’s in the room for much of the process, and incredibly meticulous about vocal levels, for example. A lot of the vocal rides are dictated by her. She hears 0.2dB differences in volume, and when we got the first mastered songs back, she was really dismayed by how they sounded, and it turned out to be the dithering down from 24- to 16-bit that was bothering her! She has great ears and an impeccable sense of aesthetic.”

i don't really care what her political views are, what she believes in private is not at all my knowledge and not my business, i love her music, and that's what is important to me

People need to STOP associating her to supporting Trump.
If her husband, and I repeat, her husband, supports him then that's his own problem and only his. She has openly talked about how she hates Trump back in the LFL days, she even did witchcraft during the election time. Some here says that now she's "radio silence". That's a right of hers, she's not obligated to openly say something each election year. And now that she's married to Jeremy, if he's a Trump supporter, it's her right to not say anything online.
If you guys are judging her by this, then I guess now it's the time when we see who are the REAL fans and who are the ones who only think she's nice when she says what they like to hear.
Sorry guys, but the world doesn't work like that and that's perfectly fine. I don't have a single problem with her if she doesn't want to say something in public about politics and you should be the same.
Also remember: we don't choose who we'll fall in love, the heart has it's things

While waiting for the new album, I couldn’t contain my excitement, so I designed a cover inspired by the aesthetic I’d love the album to have! (My edits IG acc)

I knew that was a lie the moment I read it. Part of me misses being a casual fan when I wasn’t so tuned in and didn’t know when she would make these claims. My head was in the clouds from 2011 to 2017

Tbh my interpretation is that she always has songs around that some will be finished and released and there are some that won't.

so she paused Lasso altogether to work on something else (the southern gothic genre?) but it will include Henry, which we thought was for Lasso? This is something else

I don't know if there's a thread for this already or this has been discussed but Jack said in a recent interview that the album that him and Lana have been working on since 2018 (the country album), is not the current album that she's going to release next year. So probably no Hey Blue Baby, Prettiest Girl in Country Music (maybe), no covers that she did for that album. It probably won't be in TRPWS. Which most of us figured out already... but it's good to have confirmation

There’s this tarot reader I really trust and he did a reading on Lana and Jeremy. Long story short she’s everything he wants and he’s everything she wants. Happily ever after. He likes that she’s sucessful and does what she’s told, she likes that he puts up with her crazy, is kind, “self tortured” and quite the muse. Also that the more people talk about them, the more it will bond them. He’s the fantasy she always dreamed of, now no one knows if she’ll outgrow it or not.

guys let’s not use republican and trump supporter interchangeably, keep in mind that republican ≠ trump supporter.
lana has always defined herself as a centrist either directly or indirectly, according to some of her statements. we know lana hates trump and it would be actually impossible for her to switch up so fast and love trump now, especially considering how stubborn she is lol
spouses can disagree on political views. idk why everybody seems so triggered, they’re acting like lana was genuinely a full-on leftist before marrying jeremy. she has always been somewhere in the middle and has never expressed either far-left or far-right views.
and considering that she is rich and a privileged white woman, why would it be surprising if she was a republican? personally, i don’t think she is as i think ole girl is a centrist. and i’m so annoyed that this discourse is being brought up when all she was talking about were the morals and values in the music industry (which is full of shady people) and her own good-willed values. all she was saying was that, as a person who is good intentioned (like she is/calls herself - peep the lyric on ‘grandfather please stand…’), she is in an industry which exploits people. this political discourse is pointless because she has discussed her hatred for trump and we know where her values stand. i hate how a man in her life has the ability to bring her down in the eyes of the public. this discourse wouldn’t be necessary if lana was the man and if the wife was a republican, but that’s a topic i don’t wanna get into today

If you’ve been following Lana closely for years like most of u have u have to know that’s she’s obviously talking about finding a husband who wasn’t fame/money/clout hungry. Literally that’s it.
also clear to me as a person who’s read just about every public thing she’s said for many years that she is, for better or worse, exactly the kind of person who could be married to someone w very diff political beliefs to her own and have no prob w that.

Yes it is, and also I think a lot of it was about the music industry and how he isn’t in that world.
