i see how tough could be very likely for quavo's project, since he's mainly teasing it and announcing it (almost) but I can't avoid thinking about the visuals and the melody that are actually giving country! and that makes me think it's for Lana, and maybe she just decided to let quavo tease it 

Just cos Lana sings more doesn’t mean it’s her song.. I mean buddy’s rendezvous lol! Also debuting it at her show doesn’t mean it’s hers either.. feel like she’s less likely to debut her song cos she would rather promote somebody else
 
Quavo been working overtime on the promo and I wouldn’t be surprised if it was his tbh, but either way we’re getting it, so no great shakes

but it's okay I just hope lana is feeling these vibes for her own album too. that intro she played at fenway park sounded more interesting and more promising than tough anyway

@Dark Angel has a very interesting theory about the Mirror, which would fit the intro part of a project: this is Lana looking back at her younger self, her Lizzy self. With very loose rumours from thta TikToker who supposedly talked with Lana about her next project, that she will rerelease some aka tracks, that new song could fit on an « aka » ep rather than opening Lasso. 
 

My two cents: it's a fuller, lush song, but they've shortened it. They wanted something fresh for the intro, Lana probably likes it, and they didn't want to reveal the whole song. Which is why it sounds incomplete.
 
Also, it makes a lot of sense that it's the Lasso opener for several reasons: 1.  well, she just opened a new era gig with it, 2. she mentions Lake Placid in it, and she mentioned Lake Placid at the end of the previous record, 3. it's time for her album title track to be first, and I'm pretty sure she uses the word "lassoing" in this song; it can be the title track.
 
Personally, I would love it if it was the opener! It would be her first opener that's not a ballad since 'Love' (2017).
 
If it went from that, into Tough, that would be a pretty fucking solid 1:2 punch.
 
 

And btw I listenend to the "Mirror" (if that's actually the title) snippet again and it sounds more like an album opener/interlude to me rather than an actual piece from a song? Idk it gives me Burnt Norton/The Grants vibes, to set the tone of the following tracks or explaining better the content of the work as a whole maybe

With Quavo hinting that his single will come first (this Friday), before Tough.... and with Wally posting about July 4th coming soon and that he'll be flying his Lana flag for it, I'm all in on July 4th/5th. 

Just watched the duet with Mason... he really compliments Lana both vocally and stylistically. A studio version of Blue Over You with Lana would be amazing if not a collab on a different song - idc what the haters have to say.

lana went to utah to accompany jen for jen’s dad’s wake (i suppose, since he passed away recently unfortunately 💔)!! i think this is such a cute interaction with the fans but also i hope it brightened up jen’s day  lana is an amazing friend

Lana celebrating her birthday in a small town in Utah one day after headlining Boston’s Fenway Park stadium is so on brand. She wasn’t kidding in her Ivors speech when she said she traded a stadium tour for visiting small towns and meeting the locals! x

I have not been on here for years but I thought I’d make a return after this show. As my dear friend @Beautiful Loser said, I was in attendance in the pit. At this point there’s been plenty of info recounting what went down so I’ll spare you. But I was in line at 8AM (I’m a Boston local), and managed to secure barricade not once but twice  thank the lord. It was truly, truly a mess but one for the books and I’m so happy Lana ended up performing.
 
Also I was about two heads away from Ricardo who told me he loved my dress.
