For me, i just need one BIG song. As big as Ride, West Coast or Young & Beautiful. Big production, big instrumentals, big hooks, big lyrics,  instantly iconic. Ocean Boulevard (the song) was that bitch on the last record. But Chemtrails and BB didn't have any. Venice Bitch was BIG on Norman. 
 
So, that's my only wish. I hope Henry isn't the first single because - as much as I like it - it sounds very quiet and minimal. Even more so than Chemtrails.

But yeah, I miss Lana's big songs. Alternatively, I'll take a bop. Country with a beat, maybe Taylor on it too. Like, an instant hit. Please god make this happen!

Candy Necklace is so stunning. I knew this was going to be an amazing song from the first snippet we ever heard of it, and this is another track that greatly exceeded my expectations which were already high to begin with. To me, it does feel massive. You can hear the passion in her voice build as the song progresses with the production doing the same perfectly in tow. It has jazzy elements, haunting elements, almost unsettling in a way.. but that good kind of discomfort that you crave more of. This was the one I was most excited to hear again after the listening party, and this second listen lived up even better than my memory of it. Another instant favourite.

i'd like to think that slant's decision to describe peppers as "flaccid" was somehow influenced by lustforlife because what is it supposed to mean 
 

judah interlude feels very much ironic to me. it feels like in context of the album she’s criticizing the church. i don’t know, maybe it’s the dark instrumental tone, but it just feels so right. 

I feel like this album balances upbeat tracks with darkness so well. Everything just fits together so well. I can't get enough of it

A&W is truly a masterpiece. One of the best works of art she's ever created. It just contains so much. Who knew a song could make me dance, cry, contemplate, reminisce, and every other emotion in between all at once?? Songs like this prove that Lana is truly a genius and unlike any other artist. An instant fave I can see ranking among my top favourite Lana songs until the end of time.

There truly are not enough words that can accurately describe the complex beauty of this album. I'll have to post a full length review later, but for now, I just truly cannot explain how much I love this album. It's my favorite Lana album to date. She has truly outdone herself in my opinion.
