God, I honestly can't ever get over how brilliant The Bride is as a whole album. The concept is just brilliant and her storytelling skills are breathtaking. The narrative is so cohesive and each track flows freely from one to the other. Her voice has the perfect balance of heartbrokenness, devastation, desperation, loneliness and raw emotion. She really sounds like a sad angel on this album, and even the more hopeful tracks toward the end have an underlying darkness to them.

Every time I am made to go to church, I just feel so unwelcome, knowing that many of my views are completely disrespected by these people, and also that most of them believe in imaginary stories made up by women-hating, anti-gay men. Personally I believe in a God but this comes from more of a spiritual perspective than a dogmatic, religious one.

I do have to say, his new song Pure Comedy is absolutely brilliant. It creatively and cohesively expresses a lot of my thoughts regarding the US election and political state at the moment, as well as the way I view religious fundamentalists. I love the way he describes religion in the song. "Oh, their religions are the best, They worship themselves yet they're totally obsessed With risen zombies, celestial virgins, magic tricks, These unbelievable outfits, And they get terribly upset When you question their sacred texts Written by women-hating epileptics" The "risen zombies" seems to be in reference to the people that Jesus raises from the dead in the Bible, like Lazarus, who are ultimately zombies, in a sense, who are then raised back to life, and the "celestial virgin" is obviously a reference to Mother Mary, who somehow conceives the Son of God despite having no intimate relationships, and the "magic tracks" is probably about all of the miracles that Jesus is able to do, like walking on water, turning water into wine, and so on. Although some people might find it to be an offensive mockery of the Christian religion, I actually find it a very interesting way to view the religion, associating it with mystical and magical fairytale imagery. The way that he describes the religion really does make you question how on earth people actually believe these things literally occurred at some point in time. Being raised a Christian myself, I have always wondered how people blindly believed a book written over 2000 years ago by unknown people, who supported slavery, stoned people for adultery, for being gay, supported the patriarchy which prevented women's rights, and so on. I understand that Christianity has progressed from these archaic perspectives, thankfully, but it's still odd that people are willing to defend every single passage, even though many of them were written regarding a time far from our own, which is why I also love the line about questioning their texts. In my view, it's important that we question everything, rather than blindly believing in something that could all just be a made-up fantasy.

Did you really just create a baseless conspiracy theory that a Democratic Senator (Bernie Sanders) is secretly "happy with Donald", a Republican who he absolutely despises, constantly makes statements against and shares absolutely none of the same policies or beliefs as him???? And you know, the thing is... since Hillary's loss, she hasn't posted anything or said anything publicly fighting against Trump's disgusting and oppressive new laws, while Bernie Sanders has attended rallies, marches, protests AND been posting on his social media multiple times a day... But it's Bernie that doesn't care about the American people.... what kind of logic is that?

ok normally I don't believe all that song in reverse = a secret message sh!t but oMG! that alphabet boy one has me scared sh!!t, I can actually clearly hear her say "hello pedophile" a number of times throughout the song, for example at 1:14-1:19 !!!! and she keeps saying "help me!" every time she would normally sing "a-a-a ba-ba-ba-ba" and I even heard "fondle me", "touching", "he punishes me", "torture", "horny", "don't touch me", "does he want it all?" and "keep begging" at different points which is super weird because it like has a story of child abuse behind it. Normally I'd just write these sorts of words off as a coincidence but the fact that her whole aesthetic is built around a baby or young kid, and the Tag You're it/Milk and Cookies concept is about being kidnapped kinda just drills in the theory that she might have planned for these words to be there, or they subconsiously found a way into the project. Either way, creepy as FÜKK!

Lol I don´t mean to turn the Twitter Updates thread into a serious discussion about politics, but socialism does not equal communism. Communism is a radical and extreme version of socialism. Look at the Scandinavian countries if you want examples of balanced socialism.

Honestly I'd be down for a political album. HM was a lovely album but it was so typically Lana. I'd love for her to explore some different themes, and get inside her mind a bit more about the real world. I love how her music acts as an escape but some of her best songs in my opinion, like Old Money, Ride and so on, all came from very real experiences and feelings, and I'd totally love for her to channel that into political songs, if they're written carefully. And when I say political songs, I don't mean songs that literally reference politics or political figures or policies or anything. Lana has a way with creating vibrant stories of suffering and desperation, I think she would be able to create some songs that are from the perspectives of different people, or highlight different issues or ideas without being explicitly political, if that makes sense. It's possible to make political songs without spelling out that it's a political song. I could so see her doing a song with some sort of JFK lyric. Either way I'm excited to see what she's got in store with this next album. If her Instagram posts are an indication of anything, I don't think it'd be too far off to wonder if she's going to make a political album. After all, Eclipse did say that the lyrics on the songs he's heard are very "different" to what she's done before, so anything's possible, right? It'd be a bit unusual for Lana to do something like this but at the same time, it has been odd how she has taken so much longer to create and release material from this new album compared to her last ones. Perhaps she's trying something new out and wants it to be perfect and that's why she's taking her time? Who knows? At this point in her career she needs to do something fresh and even groundbreaking otherwise she is going to lose so so many more fans that she already lost with the HM era. I know that Lana's pretty relaxed and doesn't want to be all over the place like Taylucifer Swift but I'm sure that she at least cares about keeping the fans she already has.

Honestly I don't really care if she is a full-time Muslim now. It's kind of odd to think about a girl like Lindsay Lohan turning to a religion like Islam which has strict adherence to non-alcoholism and modesty in clothing, which seem quite opposed to the way she has been in the past, but hey, if Islam brings her peace after all these years of trouble then I'm happy for her. It's unusual for someone like her but at the end of the day, people change and I hope that she can find some peace with her newfound religious beliefs. I think it's what she really needs.

I thought it sounded like she said that too. Glad I'm not the only one! I can't contain how excited I'm getting for her next release. TFJ, EH and FROOT were all brilliant albums and I'm hoping she'll create something great again.

I'm guessing 2018 as well. She's been too busy with Vulnicura VR and whatnot so even though she's started working on the next record I still think it'll be a while until it's complete.
