Wearing her quirky catch-phrases to death. Has anyone ever really stopped to look at the title "Gramma (Blue Ribbon Sparkler Trailer Heaven)"? Jesus Christ, Elizabeth, enough is enough! You know, I have a minute to kill, I'm going to make the whole AKA album with Gramma-esque titles.

    1. Kill Kill (Florida Dark Surf Paradise)
    2. Queen of the Gas Station (Neon Chevrolet Darling)
    3. Oh Say Can You See (By the Dawn's Early Light?)
    4. Gramma (Blue Ribbon Sparkler Trailer Heaven)
    5. For K Part 2 (Rehab Daddy Issues)
    6. Jump (Sonic Palm Tree Cocaine Heart)
    7. Mermaid Motel (Miss America Gogo Dancer)
    8. Raise Me Up (Mississippi South Pickup Truck Baby Doll)
    9. Pawn Shop Blues (Hotel Jesus Meth)
    10. Brite Lites (Jersey Dance Queen Lolita)
    11. Put Me in a Movie (Little Girl Cinema Noir)
    12. Smarty (Dope Criminal Pin-Up)
    13. Yayo (Retro Boss Axl Rose Husband)

    That came way too easy.

No I'll praise Born to Die right now

I like Born to Die, I listen to it all the time. It kind of upsets me when I see people say they don't listen to it anymore because all opinions should align with mine I certainly prefer AKA, and I prefer it by a lot...but I think it's kind of popular round these parts to say BTD is total shit and she can do better, but I really love, like...10/15 songs. Which is kind of a good score if you consider I like "Lolita" and "Diet Mountain Dew" in other forms. The only ones that I usually skip are Dark Paradise, Radio, and Lucky Ones. It's good on it's own merits.

It would do all of us a lot of good to stop wishing she'd recreate the magic she had on AKA. In short, she just doesn't want to, and her new stuff is magical in its own way.

Just when I arrive to give Mermaid Motel small praise as a bop, I see Born to Legend slander.

Well first, you see, you have to start playing Lucky Ones on repeat and on full volume. As that plays, you then burn your copy of AKA, whilst chanting "BTD is the best Lizzy album, BTD is the best Lizzy album" and doing the Electric Slide backwards. At this point, you put on a Native American headdress and do what Lana did during the bridge of the Ride music video. Then you hire a black man to portray one of the most famous presidents there ever was, sparking little to no controversy, of course, to chant with you. Once you've done all these things, the Teletubbies will arrive and start eating your copies of Sirens while you're still chanting "BTD is the best Lizzy album." After doing this for 37 minutes and 14 seconds, a can of Generic Horse Shit should appear on your doorstep. You can't actually buy one because they're very rare and Sitar just had to tease us all by insinuating that he has one. I hope OperationGaga doesn't hear about this, and I hope Sitar doesn't start giving us a review of what his can of Generic Horse Shit smells like. We'll have some pretty big forum problems then. Maybe it's best if we just threaten to kill each other instead.

Oh my god, she TOTALLY DATED ARTHUR LYNN.

He came from Greenwich. In an interview, she said the DMD chorus came from a boyfriend on a road trip to Greenwich. "Greenwich" is an unreleased song title. "Axl Rose Husband" has both "Greenwich, I need you" as a lyric and fucking "RECORD EXECUTIVE, I NEED YOU", AS IN A CERTAIN RECORD EXECUTIVE OF THE FLOPPED DIET MTN DEW RECORDS!

the ex-girlfriend could be Lizzy but I'm not so sure about that. Maybe this is what the song Diet Mtn Dew is about: an old myspace feud

...and we haven't yet come to a conclusion of what our stance is on posting facebook screencaps from it.

I for one, am all for it.

I'm not joking though. Many fans have already combed over it/screencapped it and there is information that is helpful to understanding the timeline of events/songs, recordings, men in her life, her dynamics with certain people, etc. It's already out there and it's already being discussed. It seems disingenuous to not allow our members to discuss this information, especially with that fact that it's so accessible, and it would contribute to a great deal of our threads, specifically Lanalysis. It would be odd to know about x or y but be unable to change theory or add songs to the list of unreleased because of where the information was obtained. My view on it? It's unfortunate it was made public... but there's nothing we can do about it, and being ~self-righteous~ and not allowing discussion/posting it would be ridiculous -- we might as well take advantage of the opportunity to have a wealth of new, ACCURATE information.

Actually, "All my dreams and all the lights mean nothing without you" is pretty powerful, coming from the person/character of Lana Del Rey. Falling in love is to her, what immortality is to some. (See Last Girl on Earth.)

So "Utah love" from Queen of the Gas Station now has a meaning.

She once called Pawn Shop Blues "Bread and Oranges"? Doesn't she mean "Bread and Lunches"?

"For K Part 2" has been posted alongside Money Hunny and PSB, might there be an acoustic demo?!
