I skimmed  through the guardian review and honestly it's not true she keeps repeating herself... why does she have to become someone else to get praise? Of course there are certain staples in her music and songwriting but I don't see how this is a bad thing?  I don't believe this album is just a repetition of her previous work.

I think she needs women and gays to be the reviewers. Straight white men will hardly buy into her sentiment.

I didn't expect this album to open lower than LFL on metacritic

So apparently the T*ylor stans are giving it low scores so it can't surpass Lover...

To the people hating on Jack, we probably wouldn't even have NFR by now without him. He was the one who made her write again. He was the one who motivated her enough to make a full record, and she had no intention to. He's most likely the reason why we're getting another album next year. He gave Lana the inspiration that was missing and helped her feel better. So y'all better be grateful

Even tho I love her and I want her to have all the praise in the world I've had to accept that Lana just isn't for everyone and there's always going to be people who don't get what she does.

Can't believe she mentioned that band again! I thought she would never again. Let's hope she actually does come through with those covers, though I wish it was just her!

Y'all know what I'm thankful for? Lana having another smash hit since Young and Beautiful.... Us hardcore fans appreciate all of her music but it needs hits like Doin' Time to get more people to discover the extraordinary Lana Del Rey...

"Nightmarish as the discourse surrounding her early years could be, it’s always been Lana Del Rey’s dream we’ve been living in, and not the opposite. Born to Die endures as a monument both to what she created and what she endured, and even if the endurance overwhelmed the creation for quite awhile there, she got over the vicious Internet Ingenue era a long time ago, even if you never did."

I was listening to Born To Die on the way home from work last night, and I was honestly awestruck at not only how well the album has aged, but also how far she has come since then. Over the course of the past seven years, she has now delivered us five albums and an EP, and every single one of them slaps in its own way. She's been remarkably prolific and consistent in quality. Instead of constantly arguing about which track on whatever album has the worst muddy trap beats, I feel like we should all look back and take stock of how lucky we are to follow such a talented artist who just keeps on growing and developing.
