Even tho I have mixed feelings about the record judging by what Lana has said, one thing is for sure is that I'm still genuinely excited about the album. Something I've not felt since the announcement of HM.

 

We've only had one snippet which was really short, so everything is still abstract and unknown. I think that's why I like this era so far tbh. We don't know what's around the corner and we only have one BTS video that didn't reveal too much. Sometimes less is more.

I think Lana is just not super good at accurately describing her own sound. 

Absolutely. I think Chemtrails IS going to be a much different record from NFR, as expected with her, but I can also see her dropping in hints of Cinnamon Girl and Venice Bitch as well.

She's really bad at describing her own music. From what I understand from the TJF snippet and the description of this record being for those with overactive minds, it will be more psychedelic. Probably more in the direction of Venice Bitch, but with more of a flare. 

 

Well the director for the title track music video is known for psychedelic visuals, perhaps you're onto something here

I’m honestly so stoked after the interview. There were definitely cringed egotistical moments but they were balanced by interesting banter and some thoughts about personal lives and about the pandemic that I too have had so it’s kinda validating. 
 

All the album description (as oblique as it is) gets me so hot for it. I love the idea of a country tinged folksy pop album because I know Lana would do it the right way.
