such a shitty marketing. Probably unpopular opinion but the way they push and promote this poetry everywhere, making so many videos of Lana reading the same thing over n over when they know everyone is waiting for the album, it just makes me so fed up with the poetry, i cant even listen to it anymore without getting annoyed. It would be so smooth if they would release the album and month later the poetry

Sometimes it’s like Lana has a gun in her back when she’s reading and promoting her poetry..

Lana: ‘Please Ben  do I have to do this again? I want to go out and play with my insta girlies ?’   Ben : (Gun Reloading sound)  Dua doesn’t complain she does as she’s told’

The only acceptable reason for a delay is the addition of Dealer :fabcat:

Honestly, the thing no one wants to say is that 'soon' could simply mean even they don't know, which could mean the album is still being tweaked or there's something else delaying it.

I think many people ARE thinking that, that’s why this is so irritating

fans will be understanding if they would just say and communicate that. Music soon, followed over a month later (almost a full week after the album’s original release date) by another soon is just disrespectful.

I don’t get the meltdowns when we literally had an album last year. It’s not like she released her last album five years ago. The maximum gap between albums has been two years.

I don’t know how you react if your faves were Beyonce, P!nk, Avril or Lorde.

I’m dying for new music but come on, some of you are overreacting af.

Why do we have to explain it everyday to someone. The thing is SHE announced an album cumming sept 5th its not like the fans speculated anything .Thats why everyone is mad and tired of her not just telling her fans what’s going on.Instead we just get the word “soon”

If you don’t get the meltdowns, re-read the last couple of pages. Myself and others have explained what’s so frustrating. It’s the lack of communication. Yes, I completely agree with you, we did get an album just a year ago and you’re right, her album release rates are phenomenal.

but.

Lana posted in writing, unprovoked, a release date. That started all of this. If she hadn’t posted a release date or even acknowledged it was pushed back I’m sure 99% of us would be completely fine.

Again, its not the wait, it's the lies and the lack of information. no one forced lana to announce an album coming in september, she did that

Hey, look on the bright side, everyone. That Interview Magazine video is one of the most intelligent and artful visual pieces she’s ever given us. Of course, we have her videos with that filmic aspect, but we’ve never ever had something that is not only so glamorous and campy but also psychological in its narrative to give us a deeper look into Lana.

I would say the reason why this video and cover story is being “milked” with the merch and with the gradually consistent promotion of it is because it’s meant to serve as an allegory of the public’s deconstruction of the alleged “Lana Del Rey” persona. This is truly life imitating art.

And I think that theme will be addressed on Chemtrails, and that’s why this is the perfect start to the era - and why I think it’s deliberate that they’re going to let it simmer for about a month until the music and other visuals and promo starts coming out! :) I love it, it’s already coming all together. The wait will be worth it in the long run, especially with all of these really intelligent commentaries she is providing about herself. Genius!

Guys this is just how a LDR album is released. You should know better by now. She says whatever dates come to her mind without planning anything, she probably didn't even contact her record label before posting it was gonna be released September 5th lol. This is just how she keeps us engaged to the releases, making a mess and not explaining anything. Chill out gays. I'm honestly not even over NFR yet, I haven't listened to it in like 3 monthes so it would sound new and fresh again lol

I always love your posts, and after being described as lawfully neutral (a stance I’m more than happy to embrace) it’s so nice to have a refreshing happy, positive

Reading your posts always brings a ray or light into my mind (maybe it’s your username, maybe it’s the thought of you being Lana herself (I know, you’ve said yourself you’re not and could never live up to her and you’re just guessing like the rest of us))

I do wish though they would address this. I am more than happy to let it simmer I completely understand the album will come out when it comes out, but give us something. Don’t say soon, don’t sweep it under the rug, don’t play is for fools.

please, @IanadeIrey, stay with us and be a beacon of hope

Yes, Lana announced a date of Sept 5th but let's not forget she announced it during the infamous Question for the Culture, which got her the worst press of her career and she was accused of a lot of horrible things as a result. It's not too surprising that she was focused on on other elements of her post aside from the release date.

Then, she released Violet which in my opinion is not just a poetry project, it's a full album and it's absolutely stunning. So not only did we get NFR a year ago, we got another album just over a month ago.

We can complain all we want about the way she announces things, but she posted a video on set before Sept 5th and although she didn't confirm a new date it was pretty clear from that video that Sept 5th wasn't happening. We also now have reason to believe from the interview that it was delayed to add Dealer, which is a song that we all obviously want to hear now. (fingers crossed lol)

Lana is an eclectic person and and there's no point in faulting her for it. It's not like it's our first album release with her, she does things her way and lives a little bit in her own world. We've always known to take certain things with a grain of salt and it's unfair to pretend she just gives us the silent treatment when ultimately she gives us so much. She's not going to change the way she approaches these things so to get so worked up and angry with her for it is going accomplish nothing but stress for yourselves.

Of course I am desperate for the album, but it's also fun to speculate on what's coming next, especially when she gives us things that we aren't expecting at all like yesterday's bizarre little gem. Can't wait to see what's next and I for one am more than happy to continue enjoying our delusions and theories until we finally get to hear the masterpiece that is coming for us.
