as painful as this pre-release era is, i have this strange feeling that the COCC era overall will be a 'return to form' of sorts for lana: high budget music videos, a decent amount of promo, experimenting with aesthetics, visuals and looks, a bit more sonic experimentation (if the recent magazine interview is anything to go by), some more social media interactions... i'm dreaming of a fabulous tour too but who knows what'll happen with that given the brutal combination of covid and lana's laziness

 

not to say i haven't enjoyed recent eras of course, and DEFINITELY not to say born to die was her ultimate one and only 'form' - but in terms of the actual album cycle, i have a feeling this one will be a little more exciting and involved and have more fun stuff than the last!

true but it's just going to be bts footage. 

watch them use an old lana song as the music instead of something from COCC.

my hope is slowly diminishing that we're getting the album this month. if we are, then we need to get something (pre-order, single, cover/tracklist, etc) by the end of next week. otherwise, it'll either be a surprise drop by the end of september OR it's delayed AGAIN. i really hope she pulls through and releases COCC this month.
