in every website says dance, and I thought and listened like that too

 

but i saw on a website here from my country the last passage saying "Cause they were caught up in the >DENS<" and it make so much more sense for me

fits so much better

 

whats the right one?

And what is the interpretation of "caught up in the dance" ? 

I see it as if it were "they were caught flying"

Well, in a live performance of Get Free, she added, “‘Cause they were caught up in the dance/Of cruel romance.”
 

I would assume she’s suggesting that others never got to “fly” (or be free) because they were in harmful relationships, and that fits with the overall theme of the track as well
