I agree. There's absolutely nothing, wrong with honest, even hard, criticism. Cultish 'IT'S LANA FOR GOD'S SAKE!' feeling (it can't be called thinking), does no one any good, including the artist. I've seen it with so many musicians, from Bob Dylan, Tori Amos and Jeff Buckley to Twenty-One Pilots and beyond.

Most Lana albums are composed of ballads + at least 1 "upbeat" song (West Coast, High By, Doin Time, Tulsa) 

With Mike on board, I thought we'd get more songs with heavy beats, ala Born to Die, but it's apparently more of a Honeymoon situation, where it's only ballads with hip/hop beats...

the only thing I'm gonna expect from this album is no country at all

otherwise I think I might get disappointed because as much as I'm obsessed with the new songs and can't stop thinking about them, I wish the rest of the album would be bomb ass synths electric guitars violence psychedelic bitch fuck you critics. but I guess it's gonna be more lowkey like chemtrails and I'm okay with that if it's the case I'm just not raising expectations for something that most likely is not happening this time around anymore (prove me wrong lana)
