Blue Jeans is one of my least favorite Lana songs ever :oopna: I feel like it ends up on every "best LDR song" list and I will never understand why

The way she looked in that video was otherworldly, the reflections of light off the water.hasent been someone that etherial in pop music since britney spears toxic video, regardless of the lyrics, her aura was magnetic

Blue banisters out oct 22

Interesting list, and obviously by a BTD stan. It probably would have been my own list several years ago lmao. Anyway, while, I love BTD to death, I can’t relate to it anymore. Whenever I hear it now, I’m just reminded of when I was a teenager and some of the embarrassing elements/themes I was drawn to at the time :toofunny: Though BTD is definitely a renown, standalone classic and influential masterpiece, it’s a reminiscent album for me now from the early days of my youth, but obscure enough to my adult self to the point that I don’t go back to it.

To me, it's just... meh. I could do without it, kind of. I really needed to hear her sing "don't worry, baby" when it came out, that short line gave me comfort. But also, it's... lyrically, it's, I don't know, to me it's not her best, and after hearing the demos, I definitely think they had a more interesting meaning than what the final version has. Maybe it's Max Martin to blame, maybe it isn't.

Thank you lanaboards elders :worship: I just listened to a demo and its SO different and nice. I’m only a newborn in the Lana world I have so much to learn it's almost scary :trisha:

I'm so sorry but the truth is, West Coast is objectively one of the best songs to ever have existed. This is not up for debate :creep3:

And whoever disagrees and wants to talk about it, don't. :creep3:

Truly ethereal, and it’s a huge pain in the ass

This isn't in an order because I genuinely can't do it, but this is what I think are objectively Lana's 10 best songs:

Hope is a Dangerous Thing

Heroin

West Coast

Terrance Loves You

Honeymoon

Get Free

Off To The Races

Shades of Cool

Venice Bitch

The Greatest

(I think that with time a Blue Banisters song could sneak it's way in here)
