Even the not-so-positive reviews are interesting, and one can sometimes tell how a reviewer’s musical background and personal preferences shape their perception of Lana’s music.

i remembered that my neighbour's cat has big crush on my cat. during spring and summer she fawn to him, butts her head his body and bumping under his legs. he's always ignoring her. literally when i hear "Tell me you like it, fuck me to death" i have image her trying to flirt with my cat and falling over directly my walking cat lol

istg this era has been more boring than cocc and bb which is tragic  granted the album will be ten times better than both combined but we really have nothing not even a homemade video

but once an era is officially started, with a lead or even a first snippet, it’s really hard to be patient then. 
 

maybe this is expérience talking, and although I don’t like this absence of news now, we can’t say it’s unusual: since LFL, there’s always a dead silence period after the lead is out, where the rollout seems to have stalled and paused. This era ain’t different.

Absolutely not.

we got, from her, the official tracklist and the new cover from the boxset. 
and at the beginning of January, BoZ spilled a LOT of info about passed eras/albums. And let’s not forget the divine intervention of our new bestie, Kintsugi, spilling each week new info. 
hardly a dry month, even though the era seems stalled at the moment (it’s been the same since LFL, when the lead is out and nothing official is happening)

Also the way album rollouts happen has changed. Now artists don't even perform on 100 random TV shows, like 10 years ago you'd wake up one day and Gaga would be on Poland's Got Talent singing Judas or something. Nowadays it's just fads and attempts to go viral on tiktok - 30 remixes and a sped-up version. Yawn.

 

Lana definitely isn't the artist to do all that.

 

I wish she would just post random tidbits on instagram and talk about the album or w/e, but i get why she wants to be more private nowadays.

 

The only thing we can hope for is a music video atp

right i’m just glad we have a release date this time around. spending a whole year not knowing when NFR was going to drop and just being fed singles out of the blue was so awful lol. but i do wish she’d at least do a live or announce a second single like SOMETHING. i swear every era she does this i just get NFR era war flashbacks

i’ve said it before but so far this is the smoothest an album cycle has gone for lana in 8 years, and when u think about it she really hasn’t been that quiet, it’s only been a month and a half since everything was announced but the wait just feels painful because of the excitement, it’s really not that bad at all. i’m actually surprised we already got the track list

And she was also sending very « mixed signals » right after VB was out, by posting A LOT of snippets. I guess she wanted to let us in on her creative process, but we thought the snippet game was just like in the LFL era, when she started doing that when she was finishing up the album  with her initial comment that she wanted Norman to be out top of the year, I was sure we’d get NFR way sooner than we did. And when she started doing interviews, it was for her Gucci campaign or her poetry, not even mentioning the album.

I honestly don’t think it will be the case. The album is done, in production, and all. If there are more vinyl production delays, I don’t think Interscope will push back the album again, they probably will just go with « we did what we can, let’s see how streams do and vinyls will count in the next weeks »
