I don’t think he means legit screaming, if you watch one of this videos he just gets very loud and preachy in her sermons or whatever, so I imagine it’s just a passage of one of those that she liked the message of and put it to music. 

also he doesn’t seem like a pastor that’s like…anti gay etc. most of his videos seem like they are on the topic of like self help/improving your life etc but focused on doing that through god which I’m sure some people won’t like but I highly doubt she’s going to throw some crazy fanatic rant on there

Same. I’ve never done that with a Lana record before - technically still haven’t given that I’ve listen to OB, but I think I’m

Agreed, I don't think the interlude is something I'll listen to outside of the context of the album, but at the same time, I won't skip it when I listen to the full album either. Kind of like The Trio/Burnt Norton.

If Kendrick gets a pass despite saying the t-slur and heavily featuring Kodak Black on his record, I think Lana should be fine. Sadly the industry doesn’t work that way.

I think American Whore is about the way in which she's been perceived for doing things untraditionally and being branded a whore by the public. The pastor interlude will talk about how it's only God's place to judge, and then Lana will later on the album find herself at peace with the way that she lives her life and take comfort in knowing that God will accept her for exactly how she is.

 

I wonder if the interlude is just the pastor talking the whole time. I would love if Lana intercuts her own thoughts and has a bit of a dialogue with what he's saying.

Lana and Jack have writing credit but I'm not sure what that means exactly for the interlude?
