Resonant and delicate, Lizzy’s sound is timeless; her voice glamorous and arresting. Even so, there is a bewitching decadence about her music as she stands before the audience purring about Coney Island, America, “daddy” and “tiger.” Her look and voice come to us from another era. Kitschy and mimetic, her image is a collage of iconic American pop figures like Marilyn Monroe, Bette Davis, Barbie and pin-up girl Betty Grable.

Any vocal experts here? I just have a question.

Doesn't smoking damage your lower register and doesn't your voice get lower as you age?

I'm just wondering why Lana doesn't use her lower register more often recently,if the above 2 statements are true.

im no expert BUT i have to say lana must have Golden vocal chords cause shes been smoking since god-knows-whhen and is a vape diva yet her voice sounds better and better :blush3:

but lana is young, and shes surely more confident in performing so it helps

Does anybody remember where the rumour that Queen of Disaster was supposed to be the opening track for Born to Die, came from?

from discord server from someone who leaked snippets like paradise, melancholia, what's a girl to do etc

If I'm not wrong, she has been smoking since she was 17, she said that in an interview. Not defending smoking but I'm surprised that her voice sounds still great and strong while still smoking/vaping. Most singers have had problems with this, for example Adele had undergo vocal chord surgery because of smoking :smokes:
