in what way…? lol. maybe its different in brazil but far as i know, a mistrial doesn’t happen before theres a court case unless there’s like.. evidence that is collected and not submitted properly. mistrials are because of something the jury did or improper conduct by the investigators or law team. the defendants do not cause them by speaking about the alleged incident. in america, (the legal system taylor knows), lawyers tell you not to talk because anything you say can be used against you in court and because you have the right not to “compelled to be a witness against yourself”. i’m not blaming her as she didn’t board up the vents and hoard water, i’m just saying.. don’t say she’s “avoiding a mistrial” as if she’s silent in the name of justice and not silent to protect herself

Culpability or not, Taylor probably made enough money the night Ana died to send her home, pay for her funeral, AND pay for a massive team of top notch lawyers better than any family can hope to afford to fight the lawsuit that’ll probably still happen even though she didn’t do anything to incriminate herself.

we know! the point is: no one is blaming taylor for ana's death, we all know taylor herself tried to help out during the show and stuff. there's video evidence of that! it is T4F's responsibility, 100%

what we're judging here is what she DIDN'T do after what happened. a half assed instagram STORY that not only has incorrect information (ana actually passed out during the second song, not before the show), but also doesn't even mention ana's name, ISN'T enough. a performance of one song that, again, doesn't directly mention ana at all, isn't enough.

she might be upset because it is a very upsetting situation, but NOTHING comes close to what ana's family is going through right now, THEY are the ones who are truly suffering, and they are the ones whose feelings should be put in first here, not taylor's feelings (or the lack of them). she probably will get over it at some point, but ana's family surely will never.

she doesn't have to pay for anything, the event organizers should, but she should've shown more empathy and at least join her own fanbase to ask for justice. I don't think she's legally helpless to the point she can't even mention the girl's name at all. it all just feels cold and extremely calculated to not associate her image to the tragedy, even though ana was only there to see her. also, taylor has access to the best lawyers in the world, legally nothing would happen to her, let's be real. if anything, she would be more praised for speaking out accordingly, but now it just looks like she doesn't really care and that's a shame

A person has died, there are about a million legal issues here and huge amounts of red tape that even Taylor herself can’t get through even if she tried.

We have absolutely no idea how her and her team are trying to assist and this idea that Taylor is going to personally take out her notebook and call everyone and pay for everything and fix every and everyone will clap in gratitude is idiotic.

This is a MESS and it will eventually get sorted, but if Taylor has any type of brain she’s not going on some saviour crusade with how much has gone wrong and can still go wrong from a legal standpoint. She will play her part when it is time for her to do so during the investigation between the 100 other people/organisations involved.

anyway I just popped back in for an update- her team or some “insider” told page 6 the family was contacted but now the family are denying it- same source reportedly stated this to US weekly.
