Lasso - Pre-Pre-Release Thread

it really is so inspiring how she has lived her life and manifested and traversed through the darkness & the uncertainty in finding a manager & then the culture criticism of her lyrics back in 2013/2014 and now where people are open for those sort of lyrical contents. idk it just makes me feel emotional and excited to see where this new record goes and what it inspires ugh the vogue interview made me happy emotional for some reason and the tea that she and Francesco were engaged. and her wondering his thoughts on her 2019 cover. idk all the feels.

It’s possible she had been living in Oklahoma! She’s been hidden pretty well lately, and she strikes me as someone who can easily move around and put her roots down wherever the wind moves her

It’s definitely possible. I just feel like someone would have spotted her. People even found her in some random town in Kentucky a few weeks ago.

no but lowkey, I'm feeling that might be kind of true idk, maybe she'll give us new producers, maybe her current collaborators just aren't inspiring her and helping her to achieve her actual vision for this

excuse me while I put my delulu hat on lol

i have a feeling that the album cover will be black and white. her latest photoshoots with vogue have been that, like ever since she mentioned that southern gothic thing.

I feel like black and white or a darker moody look would suit southern gothic more. but chemtrails and UV were black and white and OB was kinda

I was thinking something like this but also this is kinda blue banisters so she'll prob switch it up

or something somewhat muted and dark like this

What makes you think that? If she wanted to wing it, she woulda went with country + unreleased. It's been 2 years since she's wrapped up OB in the studio. Clearly, she truly cares about the project and wants it to work.

I think it's the fact we have heard barely any positive thoughts on the record from her other then she likes some songs

It feels like if she didn't get constantly questioned about it it would've been dead months ago

Southern gothic instead of country……music to my fucking ears ❤️

Agree 10000% percent.... Today's so called country music for the most part is lifeless... It's not the country music that we fantasize about when we think nostalgic country. I would rather her never do it at all, than to have more Tough tracks.. What could that sweet melody have been without the elementary, horrible rap verses in it.... I said, what I said...

imagine zodiac southern gothic version with a creaky old sounding guitar and ambient forest noises

:trisha::trisha: and a final version of "If I Die Young" as the album closer where she admits she can't escape the pull of California and heads home to create her psychedelic surf rock 11th album masterpiece :charli:

Bah I don’t worry too much about the wait yet: 2025 is already starting with two projects I’m excited for (Ethel Cain and fka twigs) and there’ll surely be a couple of side projects in the meantime regarding Lana. And I wasn’t super thrilled with country but some Southern gothic elements, I’m all here for :true:

I still wish Zodiac will be released as a standalone single to tie Ocean Blvd and LDR10 :bodyisready:

"Swan Song. It’s on my album Honeymoon. It’s the antithesis of hopefulness. It’s about trying to find beauty in giving up. If I had my way, I would continue to persist in all areas of my life, but it can be quite challenging because I can be too trusting too soon."
