If Trump loses, worst case scenario is his biggest supporters lose their minds and go bananas and have a January 6th part 2. But i wouldn’t be to concerned at something like that happening because at it’s worst its just a riot. Calling it a coup is technically accurate, but still a stretch in my opinion because what kind of coup are they actually trying to set up long term. Invade a government building and start writing laws 😂? Regardless of what chaos ensues, just let them have their moment and laugh as they sent to prison for decades afterwards. It will all just reflect even worse on trumps legacy afterwards anyway.

Well I’m just glad Kamala replaced Biden because trump would've 100% won if that never happened. Obviously a lot of people disagree with some of her stances on issues which is totally fair but the chances of trump losing are a lot higher than before. So that’s something to be optimistic about

I don’t believe in idealism when it comes to electoral politics. Personal ideologies, grassroots movements, and general advocacy, sure, by all means, let the ideals prevail. But either way, the institutions we live in remain monolithic and change moves at a glacial pace. It’s better that progress occur at a glacial pace and the overall trend line be progressive and positive than there be great upheaval and an undoing of the progress we’ve made—like having Trump in office. So yes, while criticisms of any political candidate—Democrat or Republican—are valid, I will never understand those who don’t vote strategically so as to prevent the candidate they least prefer from entering office.
 

Good luck to all those voting and those who live in America. May the results be in the country’s—and the world’s—favour.
