(and Florida bc of their stupid 60% requirement)

that is undemocratic, especially when a majority of the population voted for this right but it still didn’t pass. but yes, democrats are the undemocratic ones who are trying to rig the election 🤡

I wish I could say that I'm surprised. I knew better than to have faith in the people of this country because they have proven time and time again that they do not care about anyone but themselves. I don't know what else to say or what else to do.

In 2026 it'll be the 250th anniversary of the US...I can't believe democracy as we know it will likely be gone after 250 years :poordat:

I really don't know what to with myself today...I clocked into work but I can't focus. I'm so worried about the future, for myself and others, but if they actually remove the ACA I'm so worried for my family members who have pre-existing conditions that may no longer be able to get Healthcare because of that...my dad needs insulin to live and if the prices go back to what they were, idk how we'll be able to afford it every month :lange:

Used to hear a lot about youngsters changing the world for the better only for Gen Z to end up being the biggest bums. How most of y'all are so uninformed and way more brainwashed than boomers? It's alarming to see the amount of young boys endorsing right wing politics. God help us.

Idk, I feel like this is a collective failure that covers more than just one generation or demographic. How the hell did he win the popular vote by so much? That takes millions of votes across the board. At least in 2016 you could blame the electoral college. Sorry, I just woke up and I’m not in a good mood. I was hoping it was all a drunken dream, but the America hellscape is real :biblio:

Misogyny and racism came in handy. Not to mention 'that' party's mismanagement with handling world conflicts. I guess people deliberately let things burn in spite of that.

This is Joe Biden's fault imo. If he hadn't tried to run again, there could have been better candidates running during the primaries and Kamala wouldn't have been crowned the nominee.

i'm sorry but fuck everyone who voted 3rd party, how could you be that STUPID

Yes, but if you look at the numbers, if everyone who voted 3rd party voted for Harris, she still would have lost. :toofunny:

You get what you vote for, the serious harms Trump will cause to everyday people who voted for him…they’ll suffer a lot. The rich and powerful will not.  By the end of it they may not even have another election in 2028 once he’s finished tearing up the constitution. Other countries will distance themselves more and more from the U.S.

Don’t get comfortable in the ‘blue state’ bubble. A lot of things that trump/his team have hinted at for a federal level is very possible with a red house and senate, and will completely bypass the blue shield

when these next 4 years turn out to be hell, (which they will be with a gop majority senate and project 2025 on the agenda) i will have no sympathy. if this is what people voted for, they deserve everything that's coming.

True and I kind agree with this but the problem is what could be the impact on the rest of the planet. One thing is for sure though: our world surely is way more right-winged that it was 10-15 years ago and that election is another sign of the times

I don't live in the U.S. but thought of sharing this here incase anyone based in the U.S. is struggling today ... my heart goes out to all of you

And everyone else is not immune, because the U.S. has so much influence unfortunately, I'm dreading this presidency even sitting here in Europe

We live in a world of fake news and disinformation. This election is a reflection of what is going on all around the world : people want change, and they are voting for a Saviour (no matter how impossible what is promised is in reality or no matter how xenophobic or even false what is promised). Wanting change is not bad at all, but as voters, we need to get the facts straight before voting for what appears « real change » or a « Saviour of this country ».

i was referring to the proposition being passed, which imo is the only good thing to come out of this election that affects ME directly
