Talking about psychedelic moments, I think some people expect Henry to turn into smth like that fan made version. 

 

Personally I don't think that Henry will end being smth like it, but I expect to hear 3-4 songs with more interesting production,mb electric guitar or drums.

Even though this album is country, it doesn't mean it can't have some more upbeat songs. Especially if to talk about southern gothic direction, using electric guitars and drums/beats is pretty classic for this genre. We also know that Lana told herself that she considers ride as country song, so I think her vision of country is more unique that some people imagine.

 

We also know that she likes to experiment and put tracks that differs from the entire album, so I think people have their right to expect different kind of sound.

Did they say the album sounds like Sirens on a budget or Sirens with a budget? Cause I remember the latter and it means something completely different

Also, talking about insiders, if there a chance that the album they listened to is a demo/concept and not the mastered version. Because I can't imagine in which universe Lana's album could be disposable. Cuz this is the point of her music, that you always want to come back to it. Even some of my friends who aren't Lana fans, have a few songs of her in their playlists that they have been listening to for years. 

 

So I can understand why some people consider COTCC or BB or other albums boring, but disposable is the thing I would never say about Lana

either way we shouldn't really take boz or other insiders opinions seriously, like who the hell cares if it's disposable for him, others may love it.

My expectations are low. I like what I've heard of Henry well enough. Whatever Ann Powers thinks, or the critics in general, or her diehard stans, or casual fans, it will find an audience somewhere, though maybe not in large numbers for years to come. What will Country Pop fans make of it? 

 

I liked the mellower tracks on BB, except the title track, as I loved Yosemite on COCC. 

 

I wonder if the lyrics are still sketchy and generalized?
