Florida Kilos is so gonna be Kill Kill, lol. Florida Dark was an alternative title for Kill Kill and "Kilos" means "K" in Spanish, I think...

at people bothered by the title "Fucked My Way Up to the Top". First of all, don't judge it until you hear it. Second, she's made comments in interviews several times before (and in some other song lyrics) hinting she may have tried that approach (with disappointing results), so I'm surprised anyone's surprised by that title.

Source, please? All I remember is her declining that she became famous due to sleeping with executives, cause "it's not 50's anymore" (or something like that). Can't find the article - was it on NME's website? It was from early Born to Die era, I think.

LDR: No. People have offered me opportunities in exchange for sleeping with them. But it's not 1952 anymore. Sleeping with the boss doesn't get you anywhere at all these days. Nobody cared about wanting to change the way I looked or sounded because no one was interested in the music.

I'm also quite sure that "Hit me and it felt like a kiss" is from the title track, hence why she mentioned it while talking about the album's content. Ultraviolence could be a term for rough love or the kind of love that causes you pain in an emotional way but in the end makes you want more.

I’m not really a big fan of a reworked version of Kill-Kill.  Besides the fact it’s one of my favorites songs, usually the albums versions aren’t really nearly as good as the “originals”. I was so disappointed with National Anthem, Lolita and This is What Makes Us Girls when I listened to Born To Die. Then we have that Yayo version on Paradise. Also is it only me or the chorus of West Coast sound a lot like Kill Kill? It’s too similar for me.
