Actually a lot of people don't like Sirens and think it's horrible    Siren's is raw and beautiful. You can tell every lyric had meaning to it, and even though the guitar could sound similar in the songs each note was picked specially imo.

 

i mean i see how people may dislike sirens.. the instrumentals are super simple.. but some iconic lyrics and melodies came from it.. for k, bad disease.. my momma, out with a bang.. all you need, aviation..

I LOVE THE LYRICS!!!!!!

 

THE SOUND WAS SO FUCKIN BORING. (plus they all sounded the same) Listen, I'm not doubting Lana's ability. She's great. She's my fave. But Sirens was enough to put me in a coma for a couple months if not a year. Those lyrics are beauties. I'll give it to you.

Ok so BTD was a perfect Debut album but it's the not her strongest now that I've had a lot of time to reflect on all of her albums including Sirens. I feel it may in fact be her weakest. I feel she really found the type of style she wanted with both UV and HM and everything leading up to BTD was more experimental hence all of the bops in the unreleased songs. Sirens and AKA is more akin to her most recent albums than BTD. In fact, in only a few moments did her lyrics really shine in BTD, such cases were Off To The Races and Video Games. Now, I admit in HM her lyrics did falter a bit but her sound felt more her in an essence. I must admit I'm very interested to know what her next album will sound like. There's no doubt it'll sound like something we've never heard before. Espically since Hakan has only heard the demos, and as we all know Lana's demos are almost always different than her final product.

UV was her artistic peak and will most likely forever be.

BTD was not as artistic as UV, but had by a LONG SHOT the best melodies and most memorable moments.

HM was just there.

 

Sirens is horrible by the way. AKA was pretty amazing, but not as great as UV and BTD.

Well we do know she did record a music video so it's not like impossible a november release. But to be honest I doubt it'll happen and hopefully it's not true. As much as I  would love to hear new songs I hope she takes her time and find new inspirations, because she's on the edge artistically - at this point with leaks and album releases I think "Lana" as this character was already covered from every possible angle. There isn't any mistery or story to be unfold, we already know it all. So what's next? Homeymoon is great but lyrically it's just a mix from all she's done before

Sometimes sound is more important than lyrics.. I feel like us, the fanbase on Lanaboards, care more about lyrics than the common person. Most common listeners are more about if it sounds good, then they'll like it.

But the majority of people here prefer UV...

I agree, but I still think that Honeymoon is a little different from the others. Still have the same story there, but there is an additional of how her life is now.

Yeah, this was a mistake, sorry   . I was trying to say that I think people prefer UV because of the sound, not because of the lyrics. I think Born to Die is better lyrically, but I prefer UV because of the production.

That's because her fanbase was already there. Where as BTD GOT HER HER FANBASE. And overall.... BTD Sales are better and more.
