Lana in her recent interview:

"I remember going to the Coachella festival a few years ago and learning that North Korea had installed missiles capable of hitting the United States. So I decided to return by the most beautiful road possible, the steepest: The Rim Of The World Highway, in the mountains of San Bernardino. I sat in the forest for a long time, and I frantically wrote [she sings]... "What about all these children/What about all their parents?". I was really worried. I don't care to free myself from the world, to get rid of the information that is looping in my head. I sometimes make songs about it [she sings When The World Was At War We Kept Dancing]... But don't be mistaken, I don't carry the weight of the world on my shoulders, I'm very relaxed every day. Except when it comes to starting a tour. There, I drown in the details, the anxieties... Up to questions that prevent me from sleeping, like the effectiveness of my new headset! It may sound conceited, but it matters when you're playing against 400,000 people!"

I'd be lying if I said I wasn't sick of it

I really enjoy this album. Lana's positive, social and political lyrics are very good, I wish she would write about these topics again at some point.

me too. its so nostalgic, mostly “happy”/lighthearted. so many different sounds to choose from but IMO they dont clash.

i love the initial, witchy idea of the album but i personally have always loved what we got. however, i have coachella hidden bc its one of her worst :oic2:

Is this confirmation of a tour then?

i’m obviously not the first one to say it, but i just heard the lfl demo and lfl final alongside, and it’s insane how lana butchered the demo lol. it was such a beautiful, mysterious energy song, and it seems like they tried everything to commercialise it. so many parts of the production are so unnecessary, the whole upbeat arrangement and her “shut up shut up” vocals in the background. there’s so much it literally starts to sound like a mess. and the weeknd feature was so unnecessary too :crai: i hate it, i don’t like his voice in the first place, but especially i hate it in that song. but i do have to say that there are few elements and stems that could be brought to the demo to make it more “lively”, like the bells, and i guess synths (?) that sound like they’re falling down, these are something i really love about the final. but the rest is just too much

could have been such a better album if she scrapped a couple songs, and put yosemite on it instead.

Yosemite belongs in COCC.

Yes, she should've scrapped songs like Summer Bummer/IMF/GL.

to you…

those are 3 of my favs actually. :xgiggle:

if i had to pick songs she should scrap, coachella, when the world was at war, and beautiful people (i don’t vehemently hate any of these, just think they don’t really stand out), come to mind.

also… i do love yosemite on chemtrails i just wish she put it on lust for life initially :true:

SB/GL/IMF are the worst LFL songs, and nothing will change my mind.

I hate the chorus of GL the "grouuuupie looooooove" part makes me cringe. IMF isn't too bad, same with SB. but Coachella, GBA, and WTWWAWWKD really bother me, especially that last one. every time she says the song's title, it bothers me that she says it different from how it's titled and it's bothered me since that song fucking released

if i fuck this model and she just bleached her asshole and i get bleach on my t-shirt, imma feel like an asshole
