i knew it was gonna be witchy but as soon as i watched the album trailer i got major twilight zone vibes. i love it so much i'm so excited for this era

All of them are my beautiful children and I love them equally cause a good father doesnt have preferences. Anyway I voted for Yes to heaven cause it's been bullied and I had to defend it.

For me both "Thy Woman" & "Fine China" are on the number 1 spot. I feel that it's unfair to compare them cuz they are sonically quite different and of different genres.
 
"Fine China" is an aching mournful ballad about being left at the altar. Very crisp and melodically beautiful with melliflous vocals. It's heavenly and really calms me down. Though the topic of the song is quite bitter but the way she processes her emotional state upon coming to terms with the fact that her "husband to be" left her at the altar and her acceptance of the death of her relationship is quite commendable.
 
"Thy Woman" has this aggressive haunting tone that shakes your soul up from slumber and delivers it straight to a haunted mansion where the ghost of Lana Del Rey keeps trying to seduce her ex lover who is still alive. A haunting seductive tale of a ghostly lover who refuses to leave her ex's side and keeps asking him to call upon her spirit late at night (3 AM) It's quite a departure sonically from the rest of her songs.
 
"Yes to Heaven" is sonically gorgeous but lyrically it left me unsatisfied. I feel like it's incomplete somehow.

I'm surprised that fine china is number 1, lyrically it's the strongest but her voice in say yes to heaven is killerrrr

same, i feel like we kinda crossed a line the way everyone here talks about honeymoon and chuck's photography, i think we owe it to her to be genuinely excited about what SHE wants to do with her stuf, instead of being angry that she didn't deliver what some people wanted individually

i love abel but i hope whatever they did, regardless of it being a writing collab or if he's actually featured on the track, i really hope they didn't use his sound. like i love starboy and all the work they've done together but i really was hoping for lana to go back to that old hollywood vibe, i don't want a whole lot of tech-y sounds (lmao idk how to describe anything rip), i want more strings and drums etc, almost like an updated version of all of her albums combined (tho lbr i really want her to go back to the untouchable 5 sound, it's my absolute fave *crying emoji* i recently rediscovered them after ignoring the songs for like a year and now i'm thirsty as hell for more)
 
i also hope she does more (scheduled) live streams like she did for love, it was so cute and i ended up not being able to fall asleep the night before so i just stayed awake and waited for her to do the live stream, i watched the sunrise and it's actually like one of my fondest memories i was so cozy and happy lol . plus it's fun to be excited with everyone on here when she does stuff like that

i'm imagining a re-done raise me up for the album with the lyrics changed to be more hollywood-centric instead of mississippi lmao and with a different instrumental....... i want it so bad
