  1. I am so fucking excited for Maxxxine, but Halsey? I don't like her acting uhhh. not even in her own movie. X got me back into horror after about 8 years, and Pearl is just so good. My new comfort movie
  2. I have such a love-hate relationship with that song. The Instrumental is one of my favourite in the whole world, but I hate the monotone singing and the constant rhyming of "E" and only "E" (even tho lyrically, its the song i relate to most in the album). It's so lazy and boring, and that's what took me so long to start enjoying the song in 2015-2016.
  3. Anyone know if things got leaked before Honeymoon's release? Not the full album or the singles leaking a day early, etc, but any snippets, for example? The only one I remember was hearing a "new song snippet" on YouTube which was the intro to Terrence Loves You. And other than that, nothing. I wasn't on this site so maybe I missed it or maybe it just didn't happen.

How much sugar do you humans eat in this strange world? Personally I find that eating sugar 99% of the time makes me feel closer to death, and death is life, is death, is life....

Holy shit I forgot 99 cent store existed It's in my top 5 favourite unreleased (Which are, btw: Unhappy Meal, You Love I, WDBCM, I Scream, 99 c store)
  8. Nostalghia. The production is so close to something like a darker Honeymoon. And the lyrics are very lana-esque. A bit like Ultraviolence. Edit: her first album is one I never related to Lana, but her album Imāgo definitely relates (the first video is a single from it), and her B Sides release (second video) as well. I feel like Nostalghia furthers the cinematic production and lyricism I wish Lana had kept up after Honeymoon.
  9. Just jumping in to say thank you for alerting me to listen to the West Coast Rob Orton instrumental with Dolby Atmos. I am hearing things i have never heard before . Time to listen to all of Lana's instrumentals. I briefly flicked through the NTMT ones and, they sounded... annoying (?)
  10. I'm only interested in this because her look reminds me of the Blue Bannisters music video we never got

I see it more about consumerism in general and maybe even celebrities (?) Not only fast food. Interesting that you see it about a relationship. I mean, maybe to me it's about parasocial relationships.
  12. I used to think Swan Song was a skip (I mean for the first few months after Honeymoons release). I didn't get what it was about, how it's so freeing but also so sad because it sounds like she's in heaven (?). It's so fucking beautiful and cinematic.
  13. Currently the Pink Champaign/LMLYLAW demo chorus

I honestly didn't know how mysterious Unhappy Meal really is for everyone! But yes, all this! Her vocals are also so different in the song. She really has an attitude and it's unsettling in a way like she's yelling at us and blaming us for being naive children. She kinda switched it around from being the child who was lied to, to being the adult/icon who lies to the kids and doesn't give a shit about them. Because it's from the other side of her usual perspective, i think it makes it even more genius of a song. [Took this out of the spoiler but can't delete it from there oops] And I always think the roughness makes it sound even better. It sounds so grungy, and imo fits really well with the psychedelic grunge vibe from tumblr, plus vintage TV ads, with images like this:

I always think of Unhappy Meal as one of her best songs lyrically as well (and just way too catchy), and tho it's a different vibe to these three songs, I think it hits all of the themes she covers so perfectly. I feel like I'm the only one who thinks so highly of the song! Personally I find the Bittersweet Tragedy lyrics a bit too corny, but WDBCF is especially a top tier song to me.
  16. I can't not choose West Coast. I just can't.

Lol honestly thank you for clarifying that. I guess I'm paranoid that someone will call me triggered or say im tearing her apart, when in reality I 100% love what she's doing right now but just feel urked by the delivery of some of it

Imo she's officially gone across the border from "I am promoting mindfulness and self-awareness to my fans" to "I am a wellness guru, so take notes on how what i do is unrealistic and unattainable to you " I'm sorry, I know she literally never said those words (I know I'm stretching) It's just the vibe I'm getting she probably didnt mean it in that tone, and i bet it did inspire some fans, But it really is almost impossible for people under 21 to keep off the digital world 99% of the time (or ~ 10 minutes per day). Current schooling, work, and socialising demands it, and children and teens know nothing else these days.

I don't even feel guilty for thinking this. Portals is a bop with only one or two skips. This is the first time I have this opinion too, over Lana, so it's new to me too. I'm just accepting it Edit: meanwhile I'm still shaking over Earthquakes, Madly, Melancholia, LMLYLAW demo
  20. I have standard Ultraviolence and Honeymoon vinyls, and the exclusive blue NFR vinyl.
  21. I'm not even trying to be funny here, I think Brite Lites is scary. If any song were to be the scariest while playing in a dream/nightmare, it would be this one. I find the instrumental really weird, and the way she sings the first part of the chorus in a sort of off-tune way (while brilliant) is creepy, and the lyrics being some of her most basic (don't come for me), but kind of like a prophecy, makes it like... who gave this song the right to be scary???? It's kind of amazing tho. I thought it could be a disco song but I guarantee people (besides the lana stans) would leave the disco or think they were on a bad drug trip.
  22. Literally. both a general scary and "hes a creep" scary.
  23. I just heard Electric Affection for the first time and it's giving me pop femme fatale Lizzy Grant vibes, like She's Not Me, Dangerous Girl, Serial Killer.
