Just listened to her podcasts on Forbidden Fruits and some things I've noted: - she did used to actively go against beauty standards but now finds it fun to try - she's had the album (book 1?) done for 2 years but is now bored of it and has started new things, doesn't really know if it/when it will get released - good that she's trying to protect her children somewhat from the public - mentions having a minor god-complex but is embarrassed by it sometimes - thinks she shouldnt do anything crazy (like go to space) until her kids are 18 but anyways

Weird question: what are Ari songs that make you *feel pretty*? I'm making a playlist, and Arianas voice is one of the most stunning, so she has to be on there, but I don't know her discography. I've only added a few so far: - Just Like Magic - No tears left to cry - 7 rings - positions - into you - God is a woman Maybe all of her songs sound pretty and I just don't know enough yet, but any recommended additions?

Spit is one of her best metal songs. In her previous metal songs you could tell she came from a different genre background, but something about this one sounds so natural, like it really fits.

Same. The other day I was making a playlist of songs that make me feel pretty, so naturally there was a lot of Lana and Ari on there. DCMA was a constant recommended song for the playlist and I got SO mad.

Okay this really IS my favourite version now. There are so many subtle additions that make it so heavenly and beautiful.

I don't know the real reasoning behind it but I assumed that this song is very personal to her and something happened which motivated her to get it out there officially. It seems she's been wanting to release it nearly every album since it was first made, and we haven't seen that with many (or any?) other songs. But especially because she's sung those other 2 songs live, it really is a wonder still.

I think the final version is least like the Honeymoon version in the chorus. The Honeymoon one is so loud, like they really tried to fill out the production there. I think it's safe to say that the similarities in the beginning were there before STINT worked on it?

Omg So it's definitely not any of the versions we had. I hear parts of nearly all the versions, + some symbol additions in the chorus with the drums, and the subtle guitar sounds near the end are new. I'm now realising the Version 3 we had is slightly pitched? so it's a bit harder to compare to that one.

I honestly didn't mind it but the switch to the chorus doesn't work. He did do a good job with his vocals tho. I also always get a wave of relief when people don't change the pronouns in a cover song!

Barrie. Even the way Boz talked about them together is just... my heart! In some of the paparazzi videos of Lana and Francesco, he is acting like an asshole. Maybe Lana thought it was funny but honestly I would be embarrassed. Obviously I don't know what it's like to be followed, but it was just weird.

Has the symbolism of the actualy necklaces been discussed here? I never thought of it till this guy (who does amazing Lana reactions btw) talked about it, from 6:00 onwards. He noticed that wearing a necklace in every scene represents being owned or being bought and not being able to make your own decisions, then in the final scene as she is wearing no necklace, she is finally free. It's almost the most obvious thing in the video and I missed it!

This is gorgeous My favourites (and in fact the only ones I noticed lol) were the Burning Desire, Ride and National Anthem throwbacks.

Also, I didn't quite fully grasp what she was explaining until I read this YouTube comment: Edit: I also need to say, that ending from the diamonds dropping into blood, to the implied murder scene, to her smile at the ending... that gave me the same chill that her BTD era videos did with the car crash in BTD, being pulled underwater in Blue Jeans, the jump in Summertime Sadness, the shooting in National Anthem. I agree with the large majority of these, but these Love Song lyrics are one of the better ones in the song (imho, these ones make me actually visualise something and physically feel it!) But idk, I have always been a Love Song hater but I just re-read the lyrics and they're actually gorgeous. I think its just the melody I don't like!

I totally underrated Womb at the beginning. It's so good and has a great chorus
