My baby used to dance underneath my architecture
To the 'Houses of the Holy'
But you were so obsessed with writing the next best American record
But there was nothing left by the time we got to bed
You did it all for fame
Tell me how it treats you now
It's true
All the roads lead to you
All the roads lead to you
Like the 405 I drive through

I think my favorite video is National Anthem. I agree that BTD's video has better visuals but I love everything about the National Anthem one. The happy birthday intro and the fact that she portrays Marilyn and Jackie flawlessly is just:
Oh also A$AP is there

like said before i miss btd's strong visuals with beautiful ambitious music videos but it think that era has been done with kind of, sonically and storytelling wise it would be UV (on a lesser extent) and LFL. LFL feels unfinished and i need some closure on it, i listened to bar (is it a demo?) and i loved it so much i didn't expect that . it just clicked! so as of now both heroin and bar's instrumentals aren't the strongest but these two are going to be among my faves lana songs?
edit because autocorrect is a b

I would love a Honeymoon Pt.2 where she takes on lyrically the kind of psycho lover she is on that album and build on the sound of where it left off ! A sound similar to 13 Beaches i think could make an amazing sequel to Honeymoon

No freaking way, my mom loves that one! And E. Arden's Sunflower as well.
A few minutes ago - for breakfast. :3
When was the last time you watched a fancam of Lana performing live?

Visually, Born to Die. Loved the whole aesthetic.. big hair, lush music videos, overall super Hollywood glamour.
Sonically, Ultraviolence, of course! I really miss the heavy guitars & overall live-band sound with jazz influences.
Would love to see those two eras combined somehow.

Ultraviolence definitely.
Or maybe Lust For Life if she serves a full album of 2nd half realness.

I really should!
She definitely is very skinny (even though I think scary is an exaggeration) but I just remember her hair and skin looking kind of bad and unhealthy a bout a year ago or something.

I met Sky a few days ago I went to a Marching Church concert (her boyfriends band) and suddenly I realized I was standing right next to her. I wanted to say something like "So where's masochism??" but I just told her I loved her music lmao and she was like "thanks". But she was extremely pretty and looked really healthy.

Its still the best debut album of all her peers, there's no other way we'd all still be checking her thread if not

13 Beaches is underrated as FUCK and I think it was her best vocals on LFL, and like, nobody talks about it.
But also, at the same time I wish it stayed as the original horror sounding Something Real, I want that to leak so bad

This is why George Harrison was the best beatle.

Not to be a selfish fan or anything, but I really truly do think that so many of the tracks on the record are video-worthy. Justice for Groupie Love

Chuck:what made you want to become a musician Lana?
Lana:well you know just sonically, visually and artistically I felt that's where my direction of path was taking me which was juxtaposed with the darkness and melancholy that I feel within.

Yeah, you're probably right tho. Even the damn Chainsmokers have a Grammy. So it's a piece of mainstream trash anyway. They give 8 Grammys to a single artist when there are so many deserving artists who work their ass off but aren't that mainstream.
