Guys..I feel lame because whenever I write on here I'm like "I'm so excited!" because I can't put into words how much Lana's music means to me. We're so lucky to have not one but two albums this year. I have other favorite artists but none of them even come close to how Lana's music makes me feel. She just can't do no wrong in my opinion.

Can't wait to sing along to TB, BB, Arcadia, WFWF again and listen to the newer unheard songs plus the unreleased that have finally found a home! I've listened to Thunder + Cherry Blossom but I didn't listen much, I don't know all the words and I honestly can't remember how Thunder sounds so I'm excited to hear those two. Living Legend + Nectar of the Gods I've never heard so it'll be exciting to hear those since they'll feel new to me. I try not to listen to a lot of her unreleased in case she does eventually put them on an album, and that kinda worked out for me

Anyways I always end up writing the same thing over and over whenever I post here but I feel so excited..life has been sucky lately especially this year but Chemtrails and Blue Banisters (the singles we've heard) has been so comforting for me. Can't wait to discuss the album either Thursday night or Friday

The way that she has Alex and Chuck with her in the storm to symbolize them being there to help her through the hard times or the storm in her life  And one of the ending shots being of thunder + lightning, Thunder video incoming

Sceneries that Lana's discography reminds me of:

    A.K.A

    Born to Die:

    Paradise

Ultra (i think Neil's work for this era is absolute best, his scenery photos somehow 100% capture the atmosphere of the album, randomly, I was on a holiday with my family to a place looks kinda like this photo, and i later found out this particular pic is taken by Neil, i was shocked).

    Honeymoon

    Lust for Life

    Norman Fucking Rockwell

(went to singapore and took this pic because it just gave me NFR)

    Chemtrails Over the Country Club

    Blue Banisters (overall)

    *Black Bathing Suit only

the second painting is called "An evening in Arcadia" and that's what i think the blue banisters tour should be called

I see we're having the banisters debate again... Lemme deliver a detailed explanation!

Q: The banisters in the video are blue HWHAT???

A: Lana's man does not deliver on the promises he made, one of which is painting her banisters blue - her favorite color. The second chorus introduces the metaphor of the banisters + all of the promises he made being fulfilled by the people in her life like Chuck's baby as an example. Banisters are a metaphor for her support system - like how sometimes you'd need to use them to either go up or down the stairs Lana uses her support system to navigate through the pain: when she goes down and revisiting it again or going higher and healing. It's evident with her realization when she says "Now my blue banisters are green and grey" blue being the color of sadness, green the color of life and vitality and grey being the color of neutrality. Her sisters fulfill his promise of painting them blue in the video. All in all a very beautiful metaphor from Lana

Q: Why are the banisters unpainted on the cover?

A: Cuz he never painted them stupid!

I wonder if next time around Lana will send the album to LanaBoards
a week before release to try to avoid spread of a real leak on the internet?

I think that was the point, being that this record is to “tell her story” or whatever she said. she left them the way they were when they were written and recorded, on purpose, because that’s the mindset she was in then… why change it?

The way she's actually being vintage by making modern references because "vintage" kids will listen to it 50 years down the line and see them as old references  I understand her vision and I love it

honestly it would be fitting for the lanaboards experience, the ultimate meltdown & collapse in the post-release thread if this happens

The fact you guys are putting Blue Banisters so low on the ranks is all the proof I need that this album is gonna light my ass on fire.

I don't know what everyone else is smoking, but BB is some of the best songwriting she's ever done, and marks a change in how she's perceiving herself as an artist and lover. Like seriously, I can't believe it's nowhere near the top of so many lists, and I can't help but wonder if its simply because it doesn't bop? Is it because it leans heavy into the singer/songwriter and poetry prose? Illuminate me why the lyrics are bad, please, because I'm so so confused.
