For the whole "wow no car" "she's not wearing white"
I always saw Lust For Life as a full circle moment that closed something that started with Born To Die (She's also not wearing white or infront or any car in that beautiful-mess-airbrushed Paradise edition cover). Even "Get Free" sounded like she was trying to close a chapter in her whole life.
 
Norman Fucking Rockwell seems like the first step of something brand new. Out of the black, into the blue. Sis literally in the middle of the ocean while California is on fire behind her NNNN
 
 
I guess the whole composition might not work for some people tho and that's ok, that's valid. Just awkward to be mad she's not "INFRONT OF ANY CAR" or this type of stuff.
 
I, personally, love the aesthetic. It's a giant hybrid of Comic-Style, Real painting (background) and photography.

Wow this mythical album finally manifested. Cover is so unexpected and something really weird and funny It has her weird sense of humor in it while still being nice to look at. Her next to a beat generation era looking dude whilst wearing neon and being a present-day LA instagram thot is kind of genius.... She's so smart

Neither - the footage from MAC looks like fake 8mm / 16mm footage whilst the cars driving is actual 8mm / 16mm footage. I assume all the bits that aren’t lana (or the waves in Mac) are just stock footage she snatched from somewhere. Literally reminds me of mixing stock footage in high school and calling it art

Wait... who thinks the VB video is a vibe?!? I rewatched it a few days ago and it actually pissed me off that her untalented af sister just looped the same clip of cars driving down the highway 50 times for absolutely no reason just to fill in space. I’m sure there’s some super pretentious reasoning behind it masking the fact that she isn’t creative at all and if Lana wasn’t her sister she wouldn’t have a job :-)

i'm russian so i decided to contact one of those russian stores (https://checkpoint.com.ru/katalog/katalog/muzyka/vinyl/lp/lana-del-rey-norman-fucking), the guy who answered seems pretty familiar with the situation, i guess he owns the store. i asked about the release date, he confirmed nfr's gonna drop on the 30th (info from universal) along with the vinyl on his site bc "it's a huge release for us". he said there's no more info about the album and mentioned lana  being lazy not sharing anything early with her previous albums. he guesses we'll see the cover in 2 weeks and he'll post the tracklist closer to the release date. forgot to ask about the ltd vinyl color    you can still guess and make it to 3000 pages here

I think this era she was more focused on her lyricism than a record with a cohesive sound. NFR seems to be tied together by lyrical references to writers (Robert Frost, Sylvia Plath) or artists (Norman Rockwell), which Hope fits right in.
