    She looks cute.

Is this a real romance or PR? Because this whole thing looks like a PR set up. There are no paparazzi's in central park and Lana smiling directly at the camera tells me this is all fake and set up by Lana's team.

I have to agree @@Clampigirl - her shows are too short. I went to a lot of concerts in the last 12 years and I would say an average show should be around 90-100 minutes. Everything above is a nice suprise. I have NEVER seen a show as short as Lanas and now reading that her latest show at Jones Beach was around 75 minutes - that's a bummer. Especially for that amount of money I just expect some value regarding stage time. I can't imagine that she is too tired after an hour of (not) singing. If it's mentally too much for her than she should maybe stick to the festival shows instead of headlining tours.

let's just say this jones beach show was a choice. i for one am glad i am still on this boycotting her live because my dumb a** would have bought tickets for the hollywood bowl. which by the way she sounded great back in 2015 but she's just getting less energetic on stage. it's depressing.

I saw her in 2013 in Hamburg and last year in Berlin and I was kind of disappointed after the show, to say the least. The difference was huge in my opinion. I remember her singing Heart Shaped Box in 2013 and the goosebumps I had . I do understand that she is afraid of not hitting the notes but not even trying anymore is a let down for me. And I guess that the more afraid she is, the more difficult it gets to hit the notes. Like you all said before, maybe a vocal coach would be helpful, showing her techniques or taking away the fear. Because I don't think it's because of pure laziness that she doesn't sing that much anymore.

The positive surprise for me was her singing Yayo - only her and her guitar, which felt very intimate and real to me. I really liked the little medley, too. After a lot of thinking I bought tickets for her show next year in Berlin - I'll go there without expectations so that I won't be disappointed again. But I do pray for a live performance of Shades of Cool

I cringed so hard watching the off to the races performance  she refused to sing half the bridge and instead made weird moves and clapped her hands  how she thinks this is ok is beyond me

Everyone who is saying that last night's dress is the worst thing she has ever worn on stage.... have y'all forgotten about this atrocity

Imagine having 6 studio albums, more than 200 unreleased songs, several soundtrack themes and collabs, yet sticking to the same 15 songs for nearly 4 years now. Imagine opening your NFR tour with the summer-festivals set. Imagine ghosting Ultraviolence, Honeymoon and now also NFR. Fuck. If I've paid for last night's concert, I think that I would be cutting my testicles off in this moment.

By the way, what's that throwing peaches thing you are all talking about?

But it hasn't always been like that - I saw her 2013 and 2016 and the concerts were great, her singing was great. Last year's performance in Berlin was kind of a letdown in comparison to those so I wonder what happened inbetween?

I am of the mind that Lana Del Rey is a character created by Lizzy Grant. Old news, I know. Now I don't mean to offend anyone by saying she's not real. I'm not implying she's "fake". She's allowed to create. But something crossed my mind the other day.

I don't doubt that Lana sometimes sings about situations relevant to her real life. But I would say that's probably 15% of her catalogue. Most of the time I think she has an internal world filled with the books, movies, and music she loves and takes from when it's time to write.

So, my question. If you knew Lana Del Rey was purely an autobiographical singer, how would your opinion of her change? Would you be more interested in her as a person? Less? Would her music carry greater meaning for you? What would be your opinion of her?

    Curious to hear everyone's thoughts.

Right. Also prepare yourself not to even hear Lana "sing". You'll have everyone around you screaming/singing the songs out. You might was ear plugs.

I been to shows for Metallica and Ozzy and you would think those fans in the front would be rough. Nope. It was always a good experience for me.

But here you have a woman who sings beautiful soft quite songs, but her fan base (some) are absolutely fucking nuts.

I also don't think that the M tattoo is for her grandma. The other day I thought about this thread and the one post suggesting the M could also be a W. Personally I don't think it's a W, but this pic of Lana at the Wildwood Boardwalk, NJ, came to my mind.

The big W in the background just caught my eye and how similar her tattoo, upside down, and the letter look - with the first tip of the W being big and round and the second being more sharp and pointy. I hope this makes sense to you, I'm tired and English is not my native language

I voted for I kinda want to know everything. I just love how she mixes observations of her surroundings with her own experiences and pure imagination and how she creates whole worlds out of it (at least that's what I like to believe). I'm convinced that not all of her songs and lyrics are 100% autobiographical (I can't picture her as a stripper, drug addict and killer ) so I'm interested in finding out what might be either fiction or truth.

For anyone following my NFR butterflies, the final one (Hope) was born today. She has a crippled wing tho and can’t fly. It’s pretty common for butterflies and I’ve been lucky that most of the ones I’ve raised have been healthy. Hope is resting comfortably with some sugar water and I think she enjoyed the Lana tunes I played for her this afternoon.
