Crazy Husband Thief liked a post in a topic by sjrq in LOLITA vs LOLYTA
"Lolita" is listed as the 4th best work of fiction in history by Modern Library, so its popularity and importance clearly transcend the perv crowd.

The music was written by Tchaikovsky, believe it or not.
It can be heard here starting at about 28 seconds:

People on twitter are literally insane. I haven’t been on in a month and am genuinely happier. My last straw was when people actually thought she intentionally posted those looters to expose them like... and I also feel like it’s just a negative site in general. From stan twitter toxicity to sjws claiming if you don’t post blm links on social media you’re automatically racist... a whole mess.

Hallo Heaven liked a post in a topic by sjrq in Lana accent
I've never heard Lana speak with a New York accent, but it can be heard in her singing. For example, the way she says "dirty" in "Behind Closed Doors" is straight out of NYC. (I worked there for three years.) In the fadeout at the end of the song (behind closed doors, doors, doors, etc.), she clearly says "doas, doas, doas" with the almost silent "r", which is common to various degrees all over the northeast. (For those outside of the U.S., there are many, many accents in this country. If one drives up I-95 from NY to Massachusetts, the accents are much different and easily identifiable. Accents in Houston and Dallas are different, too. No one on the TV show "Dallas" sounds anything like they are from Dallas - not to me, anyway, and I've lived there.)
Lana has great control of her voice, and the southern inflection she injects into some of her early songs is pretty much perfect. She doesn't overdo it, so it sounds smooth and natural.

It's probably syrup. I think she is saying, "You're golden grill, your purple drink". "Purple drank" aka "sizzurp" is made from codeine cough syrup and fruit punch or probably any other soft drink available. Abuse of this concoction is what put Lil Wayne in the hospital and ended up forcing number one overall draft pick Jamarcus Russel out of the NFL. Even if she does say "purple dream", this is probably what she is talking about.

sjrq liked a post in a topic by Thunder Revenant in Unpopular Lana Opinions
Everytime someone says LFL has political songs I cringe hard. Those superficial songs with the depth of a tumblr blog are not something I'd proudly promote as "woke" tracks ... That her insta-girlie and flower crown-fag fans fall for that does not suprise me. But even critics refer to LfL as "political".

Speaking of White Mustang... that song seems to have a lot of replay value for me. It's short, nice to drive to and relatively GP friendly. It's a Lana song I don't mind playing around my friends who don't love her as much as I do. Same goes for Cherry and Summer Bummer. Heroin is my favorite song from this record (and in my top 3 favorite Lana songs ever) but I don't play it as much. It's so raw and emotional, I have to be in the right mindset to hear it (same with Change, another favorite of mine). I guess songs like White Mustang and Cherry are just easy to listen to!
I was actually playing LFL in my car the other day and my non-Lana-loving-friends responded really well to the Cherry-In My Feelings section of the album, which I thought was really interesting (being that we were on our way to a folk concert and they preferred the hip-hop inspired songs rather than darker and/or folksier songs like TNC and Heroin).

sjrq liked a post in a topic by white gold in Lana considering release of 25 leaked Unreleased songs
25 is kind of a lot. I would rather her do like 12-16 songs.
Someone in the LFL thread said that they don't want her re-recording or changing any of the songs... tbh I disagree. I think she should touch up all the unreleased songs since we already have most of the originals.
